The centerpiece of Lenovo's MWC stand was undoubtedly the photography-oriented Vibe Shot. While undeniably an intriguing device, it's a specialized offering, and one that leaves room for improvement in certain key areas.
Well, those are going to be addressed in the company's proper flagship Vibe Z3 Pro, reported to be announced on March 23. Lenovo teased the event on Chinese social media but revealed no further details.
We wrote about the Vibe Z3 Pro a while back, with leaked specs and images, but then the Vibe Shot was surprisingly introduced, and claimed those photos to be its own. The hardware of the camera-centric smartphone was altogether different though, so we can safely assume that at least the specsheet belonged the Vive Z3 Pro.
We can expect the successor to the capable Vibe Z2 Pro phablet to pack the Snapdragon 810 as the rest of this year's high-end crowd (save for the Samsung Galaxy S6 / S6 edge, obviously). Operating memory will likely be 4GB, and both the chipset and RAM are a step up from the Snapdragon 615 and 3GB in the Vibe Shot.
Display size is rumored to be 5.5 inches, instead of the 6-inch panel found on the previous generation, with the QHD resolution resulting in a stellar 534ppi density. The smaller screen means less strain on the battery and a 3400mAh cell will replace the monstrous 4000mAh unit in the Vibe Z2 Pro.
Aside from the event date, however, all of this is little more than speculation, fueled by rumors. With only two weeks before everything's official though, the wait isn't all that long.

Además de Samsung, en Corea del Sur también tenemos a LG, empresa que domina en televisiones pero que tampoco lo hace mal en dispositivos portátiles. LG está ultimando la fabricación de su nuevo buque insignia al que todos los rumores han situado para una presentación entre el mes de abril y mayo, en un terminal que supondría un cambio sustancial, sobre todo en diseño, respecto al último dispositivo de gama alta de la firma.
Durante el reciente Mobile World Congress la empresa surcoreana ya ha estado informando a distintos canales de venta sobre las nuevas características que traerá el terminal, y aunque no han trascendido especificaciones, sí que se ha filtrado que LG está muy confiada en su nuevo flagship tanto como para estimar vender al menos 10 millones de unidades de su LG G4. Para ello desde la compañía están planeando una enorme campaña promocional en los principales mercados del mundo para el nuevo terminal, algo que será necesario para alcanzar dicha estimación de ventas, que se suponen ambiciosas en vista del éxito moderado del LG G3 que ha conseguido vender alrededor de los 6-7 millones de unidades desde su salida en mayo de 2014.
Hasta ahora lo que sabemos del LG G4 es que supondrá un cambio sustancial de diseño respecto a su antecesor, ofreciendo lo último en tecnología. De esta manera se espera que el terminal monte un Snapdragon 810 y 3GB de RAM, incluyendo sistema operativo Android 5.1, tal como se filtró hace unos días en un benchmark. Antes de que llegue este gama alta, la empresa se va a dedicar a promocionar los recientes LG Manga y LG Joy.

After pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge was revealed in Italy earlier today it's now time for Switzerland and Sweden. Pricing for Swiss users is lower compared to those in Sweden and Italy with the cheapest 32GB of the Samsung Galaxy S6 costing only 653 and the S6 edge being as low as 793 – converted from Swiss francs.
In comparison the price in Italy for the Galaxy S6 edge starts at 889 while in Sweden the Galaxy S6 is around 760 and the S6 edge 922 – converted from Swedish krona.
It was expected that the edge variant of the Galaxy S6 would be around 100 more expensive and as is you could get a 64GB Galaxy S6 for the price of a 32GB Galaxy S6 edge.
Keep in mind that more prices will be surfacing as the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge make their way to market in April and that prices should go down some months after that.

Desde que los últimos flagships de Samsung se presentasen la semana pasada durante el mwc, la primera avalancha de precompras que se preveía después de las buenas sensaciones que dejaron ambos terminales no se ha hecho esperar. Los coreanos han recibido en total 20 millones de precompras para los Samsung Galaxy S6 y Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge según podemos leer en Neowin.
El informe ha aparecido en el Korea Times, que recibió la noticia de unas precompras de record de un ejecutivo importante en una operadora líder en Europa. Dicho directivo, que ha querido permanecer en el anonimato, declaró que el volumen de las precompras es algo que en la empresa no se había visto antes, y que establece un nuevo hito dentro de la marca coreana.
Como siempre, la agresiva campaña de marketing puesta en marcha tanto para el Samsung Galaxy S6 como para el Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge sería la principal responsable de este éxito. Con esta campaña se pretende paliar las pérdidas que han sufrido en el mercado de gama alta durante los dos últimos años. El jefe de electrónica móvil de la empresa, Shin Jong-kyun, dijo a los periodistas coreanos que la respuesta de los clientes a los nuevos dispositivos está siendo abrumadora.
Ambos nuevos topes de gama de Samsung vienen con un procesador Exynos 7420 de 14 nanómetros, pantallas de 5.1 pulgadas y 3 GB de RAM, junto con cámaras de 16 y 5 megapíxeles que también incluyen estabilización óptica de imagen.
Los nuevos Samsung Galaxy S6 y Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge estarán disponibles en veinte países a partir del 10 de abril. Llegarán con opciones de almacenamiento de 32, 64 y 128 GB con un rendimiento similar al de los discos duros de estado sólido, y se podrán conseguir en varios colores: Dorado, blanco, azul, verde y negro. Los precios empezarán desde los 699 euros para el Samsung Galaxy S6, y en el caso del Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge se podrán comprar a partir de 849 euros.
