The LG G Flex 2 is now officially available to buy in both the US and the UK. Before today, the curved phone was up for grabs in LG's native South Korea, but now its international footprint has expanded.

In the US you can only find it at Sprint for the moment, this being the first carrier to offer it. If you want to buy a G Flex 2 from Sprint you need to pay $199.99 if you get a new two-year contract.

The other option is to use Sprint's installment plan, which means you pay $0 (plus tax) upfront, then followed by 24 monthly payments of $21. That all adds up to $504, in case you were wondering.

Sprint has two color versions of the G Flex 2, Platinum Silver and Volcano Red. The latter is exclusive to the carrier.

Across the pond in the UK, you can order an LG G Flex 2 from Carphone Warehouse, following a pretty long pre-order period. Over there the phone is only available in black right now.

If you want to purchase one SIM-free, that will cost you £529.99. Otherwise, you can pick a 24-month contract from an operator and get the phone for free – for plans starting at £34.50 per month. That particular option is offered by Vodafone and it comes with 600 minutes, unlimited texts, and 1GB of 4G data each month. As always, there are many other choices to pick from.

You might have already forgotten all about the Galaxy S5 Plus, even the fact that it exists, but Samsung sure hasn't. The device is basically a cross between the 'normal' Galaxy S5 and the S5 LTE-A destined for South Korea. The latter model boasts a QHD touchscreen and a beefier Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset compared to the vanilla offering, and the S5 Plus pairs this SoC with the 1080p display in the Galaxy S5.

It's been released in just a handful of countries around the world. Regardless however, Samsung chose not to forget about it when it comes to software updates. So the company has made the update to Android 5.0.2 Lollipop available for the Galaxy S5 Plus (model number SM-G901F).

This might be the first Samsung rollout of version 5.0.2 of the OS, with the previous ones being either of 5.0 or 5.0.1. You're not likely to spot any feature differences between these though, as 5.0.1 and 5.0.2 are mainly about fixing bugs.

Huawei has saved its best for the last and has not tried to steal the show at the crowded MWC 2015. The company is preparing to launch its new P8 flagship on April 15.

After the first teaser image about the battery, more have followed on Huawei’s official account on Weibo.

Craving a digital imagery pointing at the numerical eight, the three teaser images point stronger screen and a better camera. Third image points at a possible surprise at the price point.

So far the rumors have pointed that the Huawei P8 will features 5.2-inch Full HD display and ceramic unibody chassis. Powered by the Kirin 930 mobile chipset, the P8 will feature 3 GB RAM. The smartphone is expected to have a 13MP camera at the back too.

Now that the HTC One M9 is finally official and the rumor mill on its looks and specs has shut down, one aspect that remains to be cleared is pricing. We've been hearing bits and pieces of information on that matter, starting with the figures in the UK, where it has been priced at £580 (or around $860), with a shipping date before March 31.

The all-metal device has now apparently surfaced in Taiwanese listings, where it goes for the equivalent of $699. Reportedly, the smartphone will hit its native market on March 16, unsurprisingly ahead of both the UK and US.

The American market will however be graced with a lower price. Local retailer B&H has put a $649 price tag on the One M9 and the flagship will be available for purchase starting March 25.

The Sony Xperia Z4 has been a presence in the rumor mill for what seems like forever at this point. The Japanese tech giant has definitely been taking its time with the eagerly-anticipated flagship and after the phone skipped MWC 2015, fans are really getting impatient.

All of the scattered rumors about the Xperia Z4 aren't helping much either. Today brings a new leak, which allegedly reveals the phones dimensions 146.3×71.9×7.2mm, which is almost identical to the Xperia Z3, which measures – 146 x 72 x 7.3 mm.

Flexibility has been a key focal point of innovation in the smartphone industry lately and it looks like things will continue in the same direction. Samsung has recently been granted a US patent for a flexible smartphone, targeted at active users.

The concept relies on a set of discrete elements that will be able to move relative to one another thus forming a curvature. The links will be hinged in such a way, that both a convex and concave curvatures will be possible. Battery cells will also be distributed among multiple sections.

One suggested use of the novel smartphone is flexing it, so the elements open up and then grab on to the user's clothing, thus eliminating the need for additional straps.

The patented device is a logical extension to Samsung's ongoing work on flexible displays. Naturally though, a lot of time needs to pass from the patent to an actual device, so don't get your hopes up just yet.

Meanwhile, fans of curves can find a compromise in the LG G Flex2, although that one is permanently curved and lacks the suggested outdoor functionality, instead focusing on looks.

Two days ago, Samsung revived the Xcover brand with a new smartphone – the Xcover 3. There are also rumors of an upcoming Galaxy S6 active model, as well, so the Korean giant seems to be paying a lot attention to the rugged market.

Today brings another durable device rumor, but this time with a twist. As it turns out, Samsung might have plans to turn the Xcover 3 moniker into a whole line of devices, or at least two that is. A source, who chose to remain anonymous sent us info on an upcoming feature phone called Samsung B550 Xcover 3.

The rumor is complete with specs, according to which the phone will be equipped with a 2.4-inch QVGA (240×320 pixels) display and powered by a SC7703A processors, along with 128MB RAM and another 128MB of storage.

This is quite a blast from the past, indeed, but the phone will offer IP67 certification and looks about as durable as tech gets these days. Furthermore, the device boasts a 1,300 mAh battery, which, considering the other specs, should ensure a spectacular battery life, again, just like old times.

Other specs on the Xcover 3 featurephone include a 3MP camera, microSD slot FM Radio and Bluetooth. The dual band (900/2100), HSDPA 7.2 handset should appear sometime during Q2 this year with a price tag of around €99. Any takers?

It looks like Samsung Galaxy S6 is about to enjoy a stellar debut in Switzerland. According to a new report, pre-orders for the Korean giant’s latest flagship smartphone are four times higher than those of last year’s Samsung Galaxy S5.

The sales director of Samsung Switzerland is unsurprisingly pleased with the public’s response towards the handset. Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge will hit the shelves in the country next month, on April 10.

Since its unveiling on March 1, the Samsung Galaxy S6 duo has enjoyed a great deal of attention. Wireless carriers have reportedly ordered upwards from 20 million units. Citibank expects the Korean manufacturer to ship 46 million Galaxy S6 units this year.

LG will offer the goofy AKA smartphone in Taiwan. The mid-range device has only been available in South Korea since its official debut.

Announced in November last year, LG Aka stands out from the hordes of mid-range devices thanks to its unique personality. The smartphone “keeps and eye on you” and tries to establish an emotional connection. The device is available in four different personalities.

The specs of LG Aka include 5″ 720p display, 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, 1.5GB of RAM, and 16GB of expandable memory. You can find out more about the device from our CES hands-on.

LG Aka will be available in Taiwan on March 23 for $313. LG expects to move between 2,000 and 3,000 Aka units in Taiwan.
