Huawei will finally make the oft-leaked Honor 7 official at a special event on June 30. The company revealed this information just yesterday, when it also confirmed that the handset will sport a fingerprint scanner.

While we wait for the Honor 7 to be announced, Huawei has thought it a good idea to release a teaser video for it. And thankfully, you can actually catch a few glimpses of the actual phone in this video.

The bad news is that the teaser is destined for the Chinese market alone, and as such the entire communication is in Chinese. Yet you obviously don't need to know the language in order to take a look at the device. You can do just that now since we've embedded the teaser video below (do note that it may take a while to load, however).

Samsung might be working on yet another low-end smartphone, it turns out. This time we're talking about the Galaxy Core Prime Value Edition, a revamped version of the original Core Prime from last year.

Don't expect the specs to be improved, though. The Galaxy Core Prime Value Edition was spotted in a listing on the website of a Dutch retailer.

Thankfully that means we get a short spec list too. The new handset should sport a 4.5-inch touchscreen, a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 8GB of built-in storage, 4G LTE support, a 5 MP rear camera, and a 2 MP unit for selfies.

It will run Android 5.1 Lollipop from day one, unlike its predecessor which launched on KitKat and is upgradeable to Android 5.0.2 right now.

Aside from the Android version, the specs that got out seem to be identical to those of the original Core Prime, so like all Value Editions before it, this one isn't a huge upgrade either.

The Galaxy Core Prime Value Edition will apparently become available next month. Specifically, in the Netherlands you'll be able to grab one from July 23. As for pricing, it should go for around the same amount as the model it's replacing.

Not long ago we learned that Xiaomi is planning on announcing a new 'Note' device on June 29. This came straight from the Chinese company's CEO, so there's no reason to doubt the intel.

And now in anticipation of that day the image you can see to the left has been leaked by a Twitter account that does this for a living. What you see here may be a capture of a render of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, which is probably the device that we'll see unveiled at the end of the month.

If so, then Xiaomi's next affordable phablet looks like it's going to sport a fingerprint scanner below the rear camera and LED flash. It also seems to employ a metal unibody construction, with plastic strips at the top and bottom to accommodate for antennas.

The power and volume buttons will be on the phone's right side, while the 3.5 mm headset jack will be up top. The whole design is much more curved than Xiaomi's recent handsets.

No additional information has been outed along with this shot, so for specs we need to turn to what's already been rumored. Namely, that the Redmi Note 2 will come with a 5.5-inch 1080p touchscreen, a 13 MP rear camera, a 5 MP selfie snapper, and 4G LTE support. MediaTek's MT6795 chipset with octa-core CPU should do the heavy lifting.

Keep in mind that at this point there's no way to tell if this image is legit, so don't take it for granted. As we get closer to June 29, however, we might see more of the Redmi Note 2 – if it will indeed be the one to be showcased on that occasion.

Sony has unveiled yet another version of its current flagship – the Xperia Z4v is a Verizon-exclusive device packing some upgrades over the Z3+ (or Z4, as it is known in Japan).

Most notably one, the Sony Xperia Z4v has a 5.2-inch WQHD display, up from the 1080p unit of the Z3+. Another update is the built-in Qi and PMA wireless charging support.

The battery has also been swapped out for a slightly bigger 3000 mAh one, instead of the original 2,930 mAh. The new "v"-model even has some visual differences, compared to the Z3+ – the front facing camera and sensor have swapped positions, and the Sony logo has moved to make room for the Verizon one.

In other, not-so-great news, The Z4v is 1.7mm thicker and 18g heavier than its siblings.

The rest of the specs have remained unchanged. The Xperia Z4v comes with the same Snapdragon 810 chipset with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. The camera setup consists of a 20.7MP main shooter and a 5.1MP front-facing one.

The phone still boasts IP65 and IP68 ratings for water and dust protection and the Triluminos display technology and X-Reality engine for extra contrasty screen. Overall, the Xperia Z4v represents an odd market choice by Sony. The concept of a Verizon exclusive is definitely not new and we have the Z3v to prove it, but, bringing so many upgrades to the version is a first.

Whatever the possible outcome of such a move, Sony and Verizon seem to be going through with it. The Xperia Z4v will be available in Black and White options this summer. No information about pricing is available yet, but, we will keep you…

A couple of weeks after its announcement, тhe Meizu m2 note has appeared for pre-order from several online retailers, though international prices are significantly higher than what you have to pay in China.

The 16GB model, which was initially said to be exclusive to certain carriers in China, is the one that's currently listed for pre-order with prices ranging from $170 to $200. One retailer states a Jule 1 shipping date, while another ends it's pre-orders on July 5, with shipping likely following. Meizu's own site quotes a CNY 799 price tag on the 16GB model, which translates to a much lower $130.

The 32GB storage option has an MSRP of CNY 999 or about $160, though only Oppomart has that one listed, and it's a common entry with the 16GB version, both under a $199 price tag. Its status is "out of stock", though.

A follow-up to the successful m1 note, the Meizu m2 note packs a 5.5-inch FullHD IPS display, Mediatek MT6753 chipset with an octa-core processor and 2GB of RAM. The LTE-capable smartphone is powered by a 3,100mAh battery and boots a customized Lollipop build.

Fujitsu's latest smartphone, the Arrows NX F-04G, has become the world's first to be equipped with iris authentication tech. The device recently went on sale in Japan, where NTT Docomo is offering it for $750 sans contract.

For those who aren't aware, iris authentication is a type of biometric authentication that uses the pattern of the iris in the human eye. This feature in Fujitsu's smartphone is known as Iris Passport, and it lets you unlock the device as well as perform web login by simply looking at the screen.

Specs-wise, the device is powered by a Snapdragon 810 SoC with octa-core CPU and Adreno 430 GPU, and sports a 5.2-inch 1440×2560 IPS display. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal memory, and packs in a 3,120mAh battery.

The Arrows NX F-04G features a 21MP main camera, and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box.

LG has launched a new promo offer to go with its G4 flagship, though it's sadly limited to the US. Active now and ending on June 30, the offer gives G4 buyers a 32GB SanDisk microSD card and a spare battery with a dedicated charger, a $105 extra value.

The promotion is active both with carriers and major retailers, and covers online and physical stores. Obviously terms and conditions apply, but there's only about three pages of those, so they won't be all that much of a bore to read.

Unsurprisingly, LG realizes the key selling points of it flagship over main competitors, and is keen to point them out on every possible occasion. Archrivals on the US market Apple iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 both lack an external storage option and the companies charge a significant premium for anything other than base storage, which on the G4 comes as easy as popping in a memory card.

Meanwhile the user-replaceable battery is a feature headed for extinction. Although users are divided on the matter, it can't hurt the G4's sales if prospective buyers are kept aware of the phone's advantages over the competition.
