With Sony’s new Xperia X lineup almost here for the summer, the Xperia Z5 is slowly but surely finding its way down the price ladder. Marshmallow starts hitting AT&T Galaxy S6 and S6 edge
AT&T has finally started rolling out the Marshmallow update to Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge units on its network. Weighing in at around 1.5GB and carrying a build number of MMB29K.G920AUCU3CPD6, the update brings along Android version 6.0.1.
The update also includes several other changes, such as video calling support and full preload for Amazon. While Keeper, AT&T Live, FB Messenger have been removed, AT&T Mail and YP Mobile have been moved to a Virtual Preload.

Google accidentally launches, then pulls Android Pay in UK
Just last week, there were reports that Android Pay’s UK launch is imminent. And earlier today, the mobile payments service actually started rolling out in the country, with the official Android Twitter account saying, “Download #AndroidPay today from @GooglePlay. Now available in the UK.”
However, the joy was short-lived as a follow-up tweet from the same account effectively confirmed that the launch has been withdrawn:

China’s first scheme to connect its largely off-limits stock market to a freely traded one offshore formed a beacon of optimism on an otherwise turbulent investment scene. The 19-month-old Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect lets just about anyone with money trade hundreds of shares from mainland China without special permits. They trade through the exchange in Hong Kong, an open market unlike Shanghai where the shares originate. The daily cap for those shares stands at about $2 billion. Another scheme like it is coming this year, as early as July per some news reports.

Google to unveil Amazon Echo competitor at Google I/O, reports say
Tomorrow kicks off Google I/O. Google puts on a presentation of the past and future projects for the entire Google suite of products and services. One of the projects that Google’s been closely working on is apparently a direct competitor to Amazon’s rather successful smart device called the Echo, which is essentially a voice-activated information hub offering things like sports scores and real-time weather.

Motorola announces availability details for new Moto G4 line-up
After announcing the new Moto G4 line-up, Motorola has now also announced the availability details for the devices. Both Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus are now available for purchase in Brazil, while the Plus variant is on sale in India as well.
The two versions “will arrive soon in various countries across North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific,” the company said in a blog post. As for the Moto G4 Play, it will go on sale globally starting later this summer.

Transforma Ubuntu 16.04 en Windows 10 con ChaletOS 16.04
Así luce la nueva versión de ChaletOS 16.04, basado en Ubuntu 16.04 LTS y con una apariencia que trata de imitar a Windows 10
Dejan Petrovic acaba de anunciar la disponibilidad de una nueva versión de ChaletOS, concretamente la versión ChaletOS 16.04 que ya tenemos disponible para su descarga.
ChaletOS 16.04 se basa en Ubuntu 16.04(de ahí que coincidan los números) y básicamente es un Ubuntu modificado para que se parezca al sistema operativo Windows 10, algo que pese a no lograr del todo, si que consiguen un sistema bastante similar en apariencia.
Esta nueva versión también copia a Ubuntu en lo que se refiere a soporte, compartiendo el mismo soporte LTS que Ubuntu 16.04, basándose también en el mismo kernel, también de soporte de larga duración.
En cuanto a la apariencia similar a Windows 10, ChaletOS consigue esta apariencia utilizando el escritorio Gnome en combinación con una serie de skins GTK2 y GTK3, junto con un pack de iconos personalizados.
Aunque la mayoría de usuarios de Linux podáis ver absurdo imitar la apariencia de Windows(ya que para eso te instalas Windows), si que tiene una razón de ser. Algunos usuarios que llevan muchos años con Windows tienen miedo de instalar Linux por el gran cambio que supone, por lo que instalar un sistema linux que se parezca a Windows les puede hacer el cambio más sencillo.
ChaletOS también es ideal para instalar en centros educativos, para que los niños que se han criado con Windows puedan dar sus primeros pasos en Linux sin tener dificultades ni miedos. Una vez se hayan acostumbrado a ChaletOS, ya se pueden pasar a otros sistemas operativos con un linux digamos más puro y tradicional.
Como no podría ser de otra manera, el sistema operativo viene tanto en versión de 32 bits como de 64 bits. Para descargar las imágenes ISO de este sistema, lo haremos desde su página oficial pinchando aquí.
