Is there a way to find a biome?

I run an amplified minecraft server on the latest version of minecraft. We have flown/sailed/etc in multiple directions without finding any jungles or ice spike biomes. Are there any commands or plugins that allow you to find a specific biome in your world?

Is there a mod that lets us change the volume of individual sounds? For example being able to have water noises at 100%, while having nether portal noises muted. via /r/Minecraft
