Sony just announced the Xperia E4. It has a bigger screen than the Xperia E3, a similar a quad-core processor and 1GB RAM, plus a 5MP/1080p camera. It doesn’t have LTE though, what it does have is a dual-SIM version similar to the Xperia E3 and E1.

While it's not perfectly clear which phone is being replaced by the Xperia E4, but it will be Sony's first phone to launch with Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The phone is powered by an unknown chipset with a quad-core processor at 1.3GHz with 1GB of RAM. The official specs also list Adreno 330 – the GPU found in Snapdragon 800/801, though the CPU clockspeed is far too low for a high-end chipset. So the GPU is likely a mistake (Adreno 305/306?).

The main camera is a 5MP shooter with 1080p video, while the selfie camera is a 2MP/720p unit. The selfie camera is an improvement over the VGA snapper of the Xperia E3 and you get double the storage out of the box – 8GB. There's a microSD card slot, of course.

For connectivity there's optional dual-SIM, 3G HSPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1. There's FM radio and Sony's usual assortment of audio-enhancing tech.

Since the Sony Xperia E4 and E4 Dual were announced without much noise we still don't know details like price and the launch time frame.

Note that these two are the E2003 and E2033, not the E2105/E2115 that leaked yesterday as the "Xperia E4."

According to HTC ROM developer LlabTooFeR, the HTC One (M9) sports the same wireless module as the Nexus 6. The module in question is the Broadcom BCM4356, which features 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.1. The update over the One (M8) isn't astronomical, as the current flagship also boasts Wi-Fi 802.11 ac connectivity, but not the latest Bluetooth standard.

Additionally, the developer believes that the main camera of the One (M9) will utilize a 20MP Toshiba T4KA7 sensor. It's 1/2.4-inch in size and has a pixel size of 1.12µm. It was previously rumored that the phone will feature a dual 20MP setup, but recently leaked photos of the phone's back disproved this theory.

We'll have everything there's to know about the HTC One (M9) on March 1 following the company's Utopia in progress event. There, HTC is expected to announce two variants of the flagship – One (M9) and One (M9) Plus. Both variants will pack Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC, 3GB of RAM, and Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The hype around Samsung's next highly-anticipated flagship is at an all-time high and various leaks and rumors keep flooding in. The enthusiasm in really overwhelming and there's enough new info to feed the fire.

From what we have heard the Galaxy S6 will be a truly impressive device, especially in terms of hardware performance. Today brings a new AnTuTu benchmark leak which is slightly different that the once we have already seen, but more importantly this time it is accompanied by an alleged test score.

Rumors of Qualcomm loosing a major customer in the face of Samsung seem to bear a lot of credibility as the Korean giant will most likely rely solely on its Exynos SoC for the Galaxy S6. The in-house silicon in question should be the Exynos 7420, complete with 3GB of RAM and a Mali-T760 GPU. This is pretty apparent from the leaked specs sheet and coincides with previous rumors..

Looking at the test results the octa-core Exynos 7420, clocked at 2.1GHz is definitely a beast and crunches numbers like nothing we have seen so far. The Samsung Galaxy S6 managed to earn a 60,978 Antutu score. This is way beyond anything that has been achieved to date with a Snapdragon 810 or a Mediatek CPU for that matter so Samsung may have a firm lead on performance with their new chip.

The impressive performance of the four Cortex-A57 and four Cortex-A53 CPU cores surely comes at price, namely higher power consumption and heat output. Samsung may have employed a 14nm production process in the chip, which could definitely account for some of the performance boost. Nevertheless the Exynos 7420 looks like an unbelievable powerhouse and these AnTuTu results only prove the amazing Geekbench performance we saw from the chip a few days ago.

Hopefully the new Galaxy S6 and its edged variant ca translate these numbers into amazing real-world performance. For now we can just wait until the devices hopefully become a reality on March 1 at…

The Xperia Z4 leaks keep mounting, the latest coming from GeekBench. The benchmark confirms a Snapdragon 810 chipset and Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, which is what previous rumors have claimed. The benchmark only found 3GB of RAM though, not 4GB as earlier leaks have suggested.

The Qualcomm MSM8994 chipset, aka Snapdragon 810, features four Cortex-A57 cores and four Cortex-A53 in a big.LITTLE configuration. The processor was only detected at 1.55GHz, which is the top speed of the A53 cores, the faster A57s go as high as 2GHz.

On the graphics side the new Adreno 430, succeeding the 420 in the Snapdragon 805. The new GPU is supposed to offer 30% better performance over the old design, the Cortex-A57 is similarly set to bring 30% more oomph than the A15.

Unfortunately, GeekBench is a CPU-centric benchmark and didn’t even list the screen resolution. It has been suggested that Sony will launch the Xperia Z4 with both a 1080p screen and a QHD one. There's nothing on the camera either, reportedly it will be a 21MP shooter, perhaps using the new IMX230 sensor.

The Sony Xperia Z4 has gotten certifications from the FCC and its Indonesian and Japanese counterparts. We've also seen several of its components leak, all suggesting the handset is close to ready. However, with no press conference at the MWC, chances are Sony won't launch it there and will hold its own event instead.

Samsung has already updated the GPE model and the I9506 Galaxy S4 with Android 5 Lollipop. It recently begun seeding Lollipop to the Exynos-based I9500 Galaxy S4 flavor in Russia, too.

As promised, the I9500 is the next major Samsung Galaxy S4 model to get the latest Android version. The second market to get the Lollipop treatment is India. The update is now available there over the air and weighs about 990MB. This means you must have at least 3GB free space before updating.

Naturally, if your Samsung Galaxy S4 model is locked to a specific carrier it may took some extra time before the Lollipop updates reaches you because of the additional testing required.

The Snapdragon 600-running I9505 Galaxy S4 will be next to taste Lollipop. The update is already in testing and should begin rolling out very soon.

The Microsoft Lumia 532, which was unveiled last month, may go on sale in India soon, given that its stock has started arriving in the country, as revealed by import tracking website Zauba (see the below image).

According to NPU, which first broke the news, the entry-level device may get priced somewhere between INR 6,999 ($112) and INR 7,499 ($120), and could be released in 2-3 weeks.

As for the specifications, the device is powered by a version of the Snapdragon 200 chipset with a quad-core CPU ticking at 1.2GHz. Apple captured 93% of smartphone profits during Q4 last year, according to leading financial services company Canaccord Genuity, which has raised its price target on the Cupertino-based company to $145 from $135.

Analyst Mike Walkley said that market data suggests continued strength for the iPhone 6 upgrade cycle, and predicted that by the end of the year 2018, the iPhone maker may have a third of all smartphone users.

As you can see in the chart shown above, Apple and Samsung are the only two companies to register significant profits in the industry during Q4 last year. For the whole of 2014, Apple captured 79% of profits.

The yet to be announced second generation Moto E got fully revealed in a Best Buy product listing for Sprint Prepaid service. The upcoming smartphone is listed as Moto E 4G and sports a $99.99 price tag with no contract.

Specs-wise, the previously leaked successor of Motorola Moto E XT1021 will offer a bump in a number of key areas headed by 4G LTE connectivity. Moto E (2015) will also pack 4.5″ qHD display (up from 4.3″ in the original), 8GB of expandable memory, and 1GB of RAM.

The chipset of the device is listed as Qualcomm Snapdragon. We suspect that the silicon will be part of the chipmaker’s 400 family.

A 5MP main camera sans LED flash, coupled with front-facing unit for video calls will be in charge of capturing memories. Moto E (2015) will boot Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

Physical measures of the new Moto E are listed as 130 x 67 x 11.9mm, while its weight tips the scale at 143 grams.

There is no word on the exact release date of the new Moto E. We doubt it will be a long wait before it goes official.

Samsung and Microsoft announced that they have put an end to their dispute over Android royalty payments. Terms of the agreement are confidential.

Here is the full text of the joint release from the two tech giants:

“Samsung and Microsoft are pleased to announce that they have ended their contract dispute in U.S. court as well as the ICC arbitration. Terms of the agreement are confidential.”

Microsoft took Samsung to court in August last year after the Korean giant stopped payments of Android royalties. Samsung argued that the acquisition of Nokia made Microsoft a direct competitor.

An end of the legal dispute means that Samsung might return to making Windows-powered smartphones. Last month, a word got out that the manufacturer is keen on making affordable handsets, which utilize Microsoft's mobile platform.
