Watch the Motorola Moto G and Moto X event live here

Motorola's highly anticipated updates to the Moto G and Moto X are set to be unveiled today at an event, held simultaneously in London, Sao Paulo and New York. The keynote starts at 1PM GMT, which is just an hour from now.

One of the worst kept secrets lately, the Motorola Moto G (3rd gen) has been the star of numerous leaks, and if that wasn't enough, a functional unit appeared in a hands-on report, benchmarked too. Few details remain unconfirmed so far, among them the alleged $180 price, and hopefully that mystery will be no more, once the phone gets official.

The other expected release is the Moto X (3rd gen) and that one we know pretty little about. Speculation can easily lead us to a Snapdragon 810 chipset, but there have been rumors pointing in different directions when it comes to screen size and resolution, RAM, camera, the lot.

Now, those two may be all that gets announced today, but Motorola's event teasers, signed "XGX Moto", suggest there may even be a couple of Moto X devices. Of course, we could simply be overly enthusiastic.

Either way, the event will be broadcast live, and you are more than welcome to follow it…

Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ shows up on Geekbench with 4GB of RAM

Samsung's rumor mill has been churning intel predominantly on the Galaxy Note 5 lately, but the Galaxy S6 edge+ has gotten its fair share of attention as well. Interestingly enough, a lot of what was previously established about the dual-edge phablet is about to turn to dust as new info keeps on surfacing.

This latest bit comes courtesy of a Geekbench entry, which states that the chipset within the Galaxy S6 edge+ is the home-brewed Exynos 7420, the same found inside the smaller Galaxy S6 edge and its ordinary counterpart, the Galaxy S6. The leaksters had so far been leaning towards a Snapdragon 808 chipset for the S6 edge+, with an updated Exynos 7422 reserved for the Note 5.

True, this is not the first time we've heard that Samsung's own SoC may be used, but the latest rumor out of Vietnam wasn't backed by any tangible evidence, so we were a little skeptical.

The benchmark listing is in line with that anonymous source in terms of RAM as well, quoting a 4GB amount. Both of these revelations, however, clash with the specs outed by a couple of user agent profiles, which would have been just fine, if it didn't cast a shadow on the microSD slot, mentioned in those same user agent profiles.

Either way, all of this will be settled come August 13, when the next Samsung Unpacked event is set to be held, and the curtains will be pulled on the Galaxy S6 edge+ alongside the Galaxy Note 5.

Check out OnePlus 2’s pricing across different markets

The wait is finally over and the OnePlus 2 is official. This means no more rumors, speculations and leaked images, we finally have the full picture and now eager fans are already looking forward to August 11 when the device will start selling on a few key markets.

As already mentioned on several occasions, just like its legendary predecessor, the OnePlus 2 will be distributed through an invite system in order to keep up with demands. The company's CEO has already made quite a few promises, most notably he said OnePlus 2 has 50 times more initial inventory than its predecessor and a more-liberal invite system.

Pricing was quite crucial for the whopping success of the OnePlus One, and its successor is only slightly pricier with a cited starting price of $329. This is only logical, considering the OnePlus team has now grown to over 900 employees and the operation is a lot bigger and on an international scale, but the aforementioned price tells only part of the story.

As most of you surely know, the OnePlus 2 will come in two main variants – one with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage and the higher end model with 64GB of space and 4GB of RAM.

The following chart reveals what the phones will go for on 12 major markets come August 11. The prices are in their respective local currency and generally seem like quite a good deal. If you are keen on getting the OnePlus 2, the chart should give you a pretty good idea as to what amount of money you will have to part…

eBay is retiring its Now service, as well as Valet, Motors, and Fashion apps

A couple of years after it was first launched, the eBay Now same-day shipping service is being retired by the company in the United States.

"While we saw encouraging results with the eBay Now service, we always intended it as a pilot, and we are now exploring delivery and pick-up/drop-off programs that are relevant to many more of our 25 million sellers, and that cover a wider variety of inventory that consumers tell us they want," eBay said in a blog post.

In addition, the company is also decommissioning some its apps, including Valet, Fashion, and Motors, saying that the key functionality from these apps will be integrated into the flagship eBay app. While the first two will be killed in the coming weeks, the last will be decommissioned later this year.

eBay says the changes are aimed at providing a simplified experience to its…

New Galaxy S6/S6 Edge update brings battery improvements

T-Mobile has pushed out an update to the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge that it claims brings battery improvements along with various bug fixes and device improvements. The update, however, doesn't include any new features.

Carrying build number G920TUVU2COF8, the update is gradually rolling out over-the-air for users of Samsung's latest flagship devices on the magenta carrier. If you haven't yet received a notification for the update, you can manually check for it by heading to your device's settings.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are also getting an update in France (build number G920FXXU2BOG8 and G925FXXU2BOGB, respectively). That update is also said to address battery life issues.

Periscope for iOS update brings the ability to mute notifications

Twitter has updated the iOS version of its Periscope video streaming app with a couple of new features, including the ability to mute notifications and control language settings. The update bumps the app to version 1.1.3.

The updated app contains a new notification setting that allows you to mute those who broadcast too often – their broadcasts will still appear in your feed, but you will not receive push notifications when they go live.

In addition, you'll now also be able to set your language preference in your profile settings, something which will in turn influence which broadcasts appear in your global list. Moving on, the new version also displays viewer statistics when you view your past broadcasts.

And finally, the update also adds Handsoff support, allowing you to easily switch between devices while watching a broadcast. All that's required is that the devices should be running iOS 8 or OS X, have Bluetooth turned on, and are logged in to the same iCloud account.
