OnePlus is now selling devices through Amazon UK

Despite its considerable exposure in recent years, OnePlus is still a relatively small company. Definitely not as tiny a start-up now, as it was when the original OnePlus One launched, the Chinese brand has significantly increased its production capacity, but availability is still a major issue. This, as many fans can attest, is the main reason behind the frequently criticized invitation system used to purchase OnePlus devices in the past. But with three successful models, OnePlus seems to be addressing that issue.

The company has decided to start offering its devices through…

AMD just announced its “Bristol Ridge” and “Stoney Ridge” 7th Generation APUs

As expected, AMD had some big announcements lined up for Computex this year. The company officially unveiled its new, 7th generation APU lineup for use in notebooks. The new family is actually divided into two segments – high-end, codenamed “Bristol Ridge” and low-end – “Stoney Ridge”.

Both are based on updated Excavator cores. These are largely similar to the ones employed in the 6th gen Carrizo models, improving even further on what was widely held as AMD’s best take on APUs since the original Bulldozer architecture.

The Excavator updates in question are numerous and cover…

Samsung to hold a NYC event tomorrow, Gear Fit 2 likely become official

Samsung sent out invites for its press event tomorrow in New York. Looking at the invite below, we can safely assume part of the conference will be dedicated to the Gear Fit 2 and Gear IconX Bluetooth earbuds.

The minimalist invite for tomorrow’s event

We’re a bit puzzled by the “Create with Galaxy” part. Since it’s a bit early for the Galaxy Note 6 to launch, we’re inclined to think Samsung will unveil a tablet.

The Samsung Gear Fit 2 is said to come with a 1.55-inch Super AMOLED display, with a resolution of 216 x 432 pixels – quite detailed for the size. Under the hood is a…

AMD announces RX 480, first graphics card based on Polaris architecture

AMD has announced its new RX series of graphics cards, based on their brand new Pascal macro-architecture, and the first card to be released is the RX 480.

The biggest talking point here is the price, which is $199 for the 4GB model. This is part of AMD’s big push for VR where they are trying to get more people to experience VR by bringing down the price of PC hardware. The RX 480 is being touted as the cheapest VR-ready graphics card out there right now. Even if you’re not into VR, what it means is that you can still get excellent 1080p performance out of this card for that…
