Mongolia is awash in media choices, with even a remote yurt hooked up to 60 channels

Mongolia is awash in media choices, with even a remote yurt hooked up to 60 channels
Since embracing democracy and capitalism in 1990, formerly communist Mongolia has become a dynamic outpost of media choice sandwiched between autocratic Russia and China, where authorities keep a tight rein on the press. Mongolia’s smorgasbord of options — the nation also has 111 newspapers, 90 magazines and 72 radio stations — is stunning given that 25 years ago, viewers could see only the state-run Mongolian National Broadcaster and a Russian station.

The Only Thing I’ll Miss About Cable Is My DVR

The Only Thing I’ll Miss About Cable Is My DVR
As far as watching TV goes, the experience provided by a traditional cable provider is shit. Slow hardware, clunky interfaces, unwanted bundled channels. Streaming services are slowly replacing all of this and thanks goodness for them. But there’s an aspect of the old way that I will sorely miss—the DVR and its magical commercial skipping powers.

Londoners vaping alcohol at this pop-up bar are probably not getting as drunk as they think
The bar, Alcohol Architecture, is set up at London’s Borough Market until the end of September and vaporizes cocktails and beer in separate rooms. They call it a “fully immersive alcohol environment” created using high-power humidifiers, according to the bar’s website.
