More Than 100 Nobel Laureates Call Out Greenpeace For Anti-GMO Role In Developing World

It was announced today that more than 100 living past Nobel Prize recipients signed a letter challenging the environmental NGO, Greenpeace, to halt its campaigns to prevent the introduction of potentially life saving options for the world’s poor including options like Golden Rice.  They said, “We urge Greenpeace and its supporters to re-examine the experience of farmers and consumers worldwide with crops and foods improved through biotechnology, recognize the findings of authoritative scientific bodies and regulatory agencies, and abandon their campaign against ‘GMOs’ in general and Golden Rice in particular.”
