Computer Education Key To America’s Safety & Security In Our Increasingly Connected Society

Several years ago former defense secretary Leon Panetta warned about the growing threat of cyber attacks. As we wade deeper and deeper into the increasingly Connected Society in which the Internet is a backbone of commerce and transactions as well as communications and streamed entertainment, the dark side is we are increasingly at risk. Some will tout privacy concerns, and while opinions on that will differ, the cold reality is the more information we put into the Cloud or on the Internet, the more someone is going to want it. What they choose to do with that information, including in some cases email address, birth dates, social security numbers, and potentially financial information depends on who is doing the attack and why.

Google Now on Tap to receive new features

Google has released a blog post today outlining the new updates coming to Google Now on Tap very soon. Google knows that oftentimes Google Now on Tap won’t be able to make sense of a long email or a screen with a lot of text and images.

Now on Tap users will be able manually set where they would like to target Google’s search to take place. An example would be if someone were to summon Google Now on Tap while reading a long article where they only wanted to search for the definition of a single word.

Uber Turns to Saudi Arabia for $3.5 Billion Cash Infusion by MIKE ISAAC and MICHAEL J. de la MERCED
