El próximo 18 de mayo en la capital de España, Madrid, se elegirá a la mejor aplicación para dispositivos móviles de este año. En total, 10 aplicaciones han sido elegidas para la final del Appcircus Madrid 2016 de entre los 66 participantes que comenzaron de inicio. Es de destacar, que muchas de son ellas aplicaciones dirigidas a mejorar y gestionar nuestra economía personal, mientras que otras están dedicadas al ocio.
En este de orden de cosas y como todos los años, Appcircus Madrid será el evento principal para conocer las tendencias en España, ya que además de elegir a la mejor aplicación, se presentarán otras muchas que nos ayudarán a mejorar la salud, que nos facilitarán el trabajo desde el móvil o que nos permitirán participar en subastas. En definitiva, que si queremos estar al día, no nos podemos perder este evento.
Este año, los diez finalistas han sido: Videona, Mooverang, Free Touring, Catawiki,Weplan, FanDazTap, The Circle of Health, Thingthing Keyboard, Womenalia App y myBeweeg Trainers & Workouts. Muchas de ellas ya las conocemos, porque son aplicaciones muy populares en Google Play –además ya las hemos analizado en Andro4all–, en cambio otras son por desgracia para los usuarios de Android, exclusivas de iOS.
Pero además de saber el ganador del evento de este año y de conocer aplicaciones nuevas e interesantes, en esta ocasión contaremos con una keynote de apertura que a muchos de desarrolladores de aplicaciones les interesará. Bajo el nombre de Find the right users, find success –encuentra los usuarios adecuados, encuentra el éxito–, Javier Castro, especialista en Promoción de Apps de Google y también jurado del evento, hablará sobre la importancia de encontrar los usuarios adecuados para que una app tenga éxito.
Pero la cosa no termina aquí, ya que también compartirá su experiencia Jorge Guijarro, fundador de The Long Finger Company, cuya aplicación Schooltivity ganó la edición 2015 de Appcircus Madrid y el Audience Award en los Mobile Premier Awards 2016. Unas charlas de lujo.
Aquellos interesados que lo deseen ya pueden apuntarse gratuitamente en la página web de Appcircus Madrid. El aforo es limitado por lo que se recomienda hacer la inscripción cuanto antes a quienes deseen asistir. Tras la competición, habrá tiempo para que ponentes, jurado, público y participantes hagan networking y aprovechen la oportunidad de compartir experiencia y proyectos.

The art market is changing, and social media has become the primary way consumers discover art, according to a study commissioned by Invaluable. The survey found that nearly a quarter (22.7%) of art buyers find new works of art via social media, which edged out museums (20%) and galleries (15.9%) as buyers’ primary source of discovery. Millennials are leading this change, with 44.3% of young millennials (ages 18–24) and 33.8% of older millennials (ages 25–34) saying they discover art on social media. Millennials are also increasingly buying art online, viewing the purchasing of art as both a long-term investment and a unique experience.

Maybe because it is the easy story, or maybe it is because Malaysian aviation officials are so good about confounding reporters, but the “news” that more debris has been identified as coming from Malaysia 370 is a big ho hum, and that’s frustrating for anyone who really cares about what happened two years ago to the flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

There’s a new piece of information about the upgraded PS4 (PS4.5, PS4K, Neo, or somesuch) out there pointing to the device’s projected release window. According to statements from French video games distributor Innelec Multimedia translated by videogamer.com, the Neo will be releasing in the first half of Innelec’s financial year, putting the date somewhere between April and September, likely towards the later side of things.
