Así fue el lanzamiento y aterrizaje exitoso del cohete Falcon 9 de SpaceX

SpaceX lanzó con éxito este viernes un cohete , el Falcon 9, desde la Estación de la Fuerza Aérea Cabo Cañaveral y logró por primera vez que la nave aterrizara y así poder recuperarla.

El cohete aterrizó en la plataforma marítima Of Course I Still Love You.

Mientras que un módulo llamado Dragon, que fue lanzado junto con el cohete, logró desprenderse del mismo y fue puesto en órbita satisfactoriamente. Ahora se dirige a la Estación Espacial Internacional, a donde llegará este domingo en la mañana.

“Lo que fue diferente sobre este aterrizaje es que el cohete aterrizó en lugar de ponerle un agujero a la nave o caerse”, bromeó al respecto Elon Musk, jefe de la compañía de exploración espacial durante una rueda de prensa con la NASA poco después del despegue y el aterrizaje del cohete en el mar.

Esto es algo que la compañía ya había tratado de lograr sin éxito en el pasado. En enero de 2015, un lanzamiento similar fracasó minutos después del lanzamiento.

SpaceX y Blue Origin del director ejecutivo de Amazon, Jeff Bezos, han tratado de perfeccionar el aterrizaje de cohetes por algún tiempo. El aterrizaje de SpaceX podría significar la posibilidad de que la compañía rehúse los cohetes para futuros lanzamientos, generando un ahorro de dinero y tiempo a la compañía.

“Reusar estos artefactos s algo importante. Nos llevará unos años el hacerlo de manera eficiente”, agregó Musk. En el futuro, el multimillonario espera que los lanzamientos sean con frecuencias de cada semana.

“Seremos exitosos cuando este proceso se vuelva aburrido”, expresó Musk.

En tanto los humanos se aventuran hacia el espacio, habrá beneficios de aterrizar un cohete en el agua contra aterrizarlo en la Tierra.

“Para la mitad de nuestras misiones, necesitaremos aterrizar en agua”, expresó Musk, haciendo referencia al potencial de futuras unidades habitacionales fuera de la órbita de la Tierra.

El presidente Barack Obama tuiteó unas palabras felicitando a Musk y a la NASA por su trabajo e innovación.

Another leak of the HTC 10 shows the handset in white

There is no doubt that HTC is really excited about the HTC 10 that it has been teasing the device left and right since the beginning of this year. This time, however, a photo was leaked through Chinese micro-blogging network Weibo.

Apparently someone who had their hands on a final unit in white, took a picture of it laying atop a greasy laptop keyboard. The unit shown had Chinese software on it but looks just like another Chinese unit that was also leaked earlier last month.
