Grading ‘Destiny’s’ New Strike: ‘The Blighted Chalice’

Of all the stuff that landed on Destiny this Tuesday, the Blighted Chalice strike is probably the closest thing to new content that bungie dropped on us. Strikes have always been my favorite part of Destiny: repetitive enough to become somewhat trancelike, not so mindless so as to become actually boring. They’ve come a long way since year 1, as well: we started to see some slight improvements in form with House of Wolves, but The Taken King really took things to the next level, introducing new mechanics and bosses that did something beside sat there and absorbed bullets. Blighted Chalice is the latest addition to the stable, along with a revamped Winter’s Run.
