La nueva versión de LibreOffice, es decir, la 5.1.2 es una versión de mantenimiento que corrige unos 80 bugs que tenía el programa
La gente de The Document Foundation acaba de anunciar la inmediata disponibilidad de una nueva versión de uno de los grandes en el mundo de la ofimática, es decir de LibreOffice, concretamente en su versión 5.1.2.
Esta actualización es como una versión más de mantenimiento del reciente LibreOffice 5.1. Las versiones de mantenimiento están para corregir los errores que van saliendo, los cuales suelen ser reportados por los usuarios de la comunidad.
La versión 5.1.2 ha salido después de haber tenido dos versiones candidatas en el mes de marzo y como resultado de todo el trabajo realizado, se han corregido unos 80 bugs de la versión 5.1.1 y algunos fallos de seguridad.
También se ha traído en esta actualización una mejor optimización de la aplicación, con el objetivo de mejorar la estabilidad de la misma, algo también muy importante en este tipo de aplicaciones.
Seguro que ya sabías que LibreOffice es una de los mejores suites de ofimática del mercado, siendo un programa de software libre y totalmente gratuito. Tanto es así, que suele ser la suite de ofimática por defecto en la mayoría de sistemas operativos Linux.
Esto es así porque es un programa completo, estable, con un buen soporte y que como no podía ser de otra manera, tiene una gran comunidad de usuarios detrás que se encargar de detectar bugs y de hacer sugerencias a la gente de The Document Foundation.
Si vienes de Windows también podrás utilizar LibreOffice, siendo la mejor alternativa gratuita a Microsoft Office. Yo personalmente uso LibreOffice y te puedo decir que quitando igual alguna cosilla de compatibilidad y alguna exclusividad de Microsoft Office, se puede utilizar LibreOffice para trabajar.
Si quieres descargar LibreOffice, lo puedes hacer desde la página web oficial del programa, pudiendo descargar tanto la versión para Linux como para otros sistemas operativos. También lo encontrarás en la mayoría de repositorios existentes.
