Salió el Kernel Linux 4.4.4
La versión 4.4.4 del Kernel de Linux no tiene demasiadas novedades destacables, pero sirve de antesala a la futura versión 4.5 que saldrá pronto
Después de varios meses de desarrollo, la versión estable del Kernel de Linux 4.4.4 ha sido liberada, la cual se ha convertido hasta el momento en la versión estable más moderna del núcleo de Linux.
Los que tengan Kernel 4.4.X deberían actualizarse a esta versión por temas de seguridad, actualizaciones de controladores y por supuesto por tema de estabilidad.
Sus novedades no son demasiadas, ya que dentro de poco va a salir la versión 4.5 del Kernel de Linux, pero si que incluye novedades interesantes como una mejora de la compatibilidad con AMD Stoney, Skylake y con el driver KMS de la Raspberry Pi. También nos trae actualizaciones de drivers, corrección de algunos fallos y algunas mejoras en archivos del sistema.
También han aprovechado para sacar las actualizaciones de las versiones del Kernel más antiguas, pero que tienen soporte largo LTS, es decir Kernel 3.14.63 y 3.10.99 con pequeñas novedades que aseguran estabilidad a las distribuciones que las utilizan.
Si eres de estos usuarios que son muy meticulosos con las novedades y quieres saber todas las actualizaciones en concreto, puedes saber exactamente cuales son en la lista de novedades oficial desde aquí. También puedes ver la lista de novedades del Kernel 3.14.63 y 3.10.99 pinchando en sus respectivos enlaces.
Te aconsejo siempre mantener la versión del núcleo actualizada a la última versión posible, por el tema ya mencionado de la seguridad y de la estabilidad. Pero realmente como siempre es tu decisión hacer la actualización o no, ya que el equipo va a funcionar igual con una versión antigua o una versión más moderna.

Huawei has been selling the Honor 5X in the UK for quite a while now. You can opt to buy the phone from its maker’s official online store for £189.99. Yet if you choose a third party online retailer and do the deed this weekend, you can save £40.
That’s quite a lot given the already pretty small price of the Honor 5X. The deal is offered by Clove, and you can take advantage of it by using the promo code MAR5X16 when you go through checkout. This will lower the price of the device all the way down to £149, making the Honor 5X even better value for money than it already was.
