Los juegos de Android de la semana: Downwell, Twofold Inc, The Room Three…

Os traemos un recopilatorio de juegos para el sistema operativo del androide verde que harán que paséis delante de la pantalla más tiempo del que os gustaría, así que id con precaución porque el vicio está asegurado.

Esta semana encontramos en la selección de Andro4all juegos de todo tipo, desde arcade hasta exploración-aventura pasando por el género de puzles al uso, eso sí, todos ellos de calidad, incluso siendo alguno de desarrolladores revelación en la industria del videojuego.

Downwell

Un chute de adrenalina, una píldora de acción desenfrenada en nuestro móvil. En Downwell, nuestro objetivo es conseguir llegar al fondo de un pozo, teniendo que lidiar con diferentes enemigos y peligros divididos en 4 niveles.

El gameplay se centra en la rejugabilidad, los power ups, y, el sistema de combos, aunque, es mejor que lo descubras por tí mismo. Se trata del mejor juego del género de 2015, así que, son palabras mayores. Si quieres saber más lee nuestra reseña en Xombit Games.

Twofold Inc

Los puzles, de otra manera. Este título de ingenio nos demuestra que siempre hay algo por inventar. Su innovadoras mecánicas de juego combinan lo mejor de diferentes juegos de lógica, teniendo que deslizar y unir puntos por la pantalla, teniendo en cuenta también las casillas que ocupan.

La conocida saga de juegos creada por Fireproof games nos trae su última entrega, que mejora en todos los aspectos a sus dos precuelas. Encontraremos más enigmas, más artefactos misteriosos y más secretos que desvelar.

Lonely one Hole in One

Jugar al golf nunca fue tan relajante. Este juego, nos propone una versión simplificada del golf introduciendo además un factor competitivo, comparando nuestra puntuación mediante Google Play Games.

Verizon offer nets you a half off Droid Turbo 2 or Maxx 2 if you buy two

As Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, most retailers and carriers are starting to make their special offers for the occasion known. Such is Verizon’s case today, for example.

The carrier is offering you the following arrangement: if you buy a Motorola Droid Turbo 2 or Maxx 2, you can get a second unit for 50% off. You can in fact ‘mix and match’ the two models, so you can purchase two of the same, or one of each if you so desire. If you choose one Turbo 2 and one Maxx 2, then the cheaper of the two will be the one receiving the 50% discount. New device payment activation is required for both phones.

This deal will remain available until February 25, so there’s still plenty of time to take advantage of it if you want to.

HTC Desire 626 with slightly tweaked specs, LTE and dual-SIM support headed to India

It’s been a bit of time since HTC officially unveiled the Desire 626, but the company is back with a slightly tweaked version for India.

HTC has officially announced the new Desire 626 for India, with a few improvements and alterations. The first is a new processor, with HTC going with a MediaTek MT6752 octa-core chip clocked at 1.7GHz instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset in earlier 626 versions. On top of that, the new device offers 2GB of RAM instead of 1GB. The updated handset also includes LTE support as well as dual-SIM support.

The new Desire 626 does still offer a 720p 5-inch display, 16GB of built-in storage and support for a microSD card. There’s a 13-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera on the other side. The battery measures in at 2000mAh, and the 626 is running Android 5.1 under HTC’s proprietary Sense UI. It will come in two color options: Blue Lagoon and White Birch. It will retail for INR 14,990 (or about $220), and it should go on sale at select retailers in India in the coming weeks.

Nearly 33% of all active iPhones are models with 4″ displays

There are numerous reports Apple will be unveiling a new iPhone model this March, together with the new iPad lineup and MacBook refresh. There are quite a few unbelievers there, but this recent report may help many understand why the possibility is more than real.

According to Mixpanel’s report on the iPhone models about 19% of all iPhone owners are still holding on to their beloved iPhone 5s. The iPhone 5 accounts for about 8% of the users while the iPhone 5c and iPhone 4s are 5.4% and 4.2% of all active iPhones.

These numbers confirm that one-third of the active iPhones users are loving their 4″ display and aren’t exchanging it for a bigger one. If you add the iPhone 4s and older 3.5″ models, we get a number close to 40% of users not using larger model iPhone.

Sure, there are lots of reasons for people not upgrading their iPhones, but one of the most common explanations is because of the new bigger screen size. Many people are seeking an upgrade, Apple just isn’t presenting them the device they want.

These numbers can be easily translated into a demand for a smaller iPhone and then those rumors about an upcoming smaller iPhone 5se begin to make sense. We are sure Apple also acknowledges these shares and what’s a better way to make those people upgrade if not an iPhone 5s spiritual successor – like an enhanced edition such as the iPhone 5se is rumored to be?

Destiny’s ‘Crimson Days’ Sums Up Everything Currently Wrong With The Game

Yesterday, Bungie came out with another Destiny Weekly Update (now called “This Week at Bungie”) which detailed a few interesting PvP changes (no spawning with special ammo in some modes) and some PvE glitch fixes (fewer teleporting Ogres). What it did not do was dive into much more detail about the upcoming Crimson Days event, which is coming to the game on February 9th.
