Apple will start accepting iPhones with broken screens, cameras and buttons for credit next week, according to Mark Gurman of 9to5Mac. The trade in values for the broken devices are $50 for the iPhone 5S, $200 for the iPhone 6 and $250 for the iPhone 6 Plus. If you have a larger storage size device, then it will likely be worth more.

Google Play es una de las aplicaciones que más actualizaciones sufre, logrando de esta manera que sus usuarios puedan llegar de forma más rápida al contenido que desean instalar en sus smartphones. En los últimos días está recibiendo uno de los últimos cambios, algo bastante interesante que se puede observar si se navega por las recomendaciones de aplicaciones y juegos.
El nuevo añadido es un tipo de recomendación diferente a las que conocíamos antes, en este caso llamada “Echa un vistazo a este vídeo”. De esta forma Google Play ya no sólo nos mostrará el icono, nombre y valoración de lo que queramos descargar, sino que todo ello irá acompañado de su propio vídeo promocional.
Con la llegada de “Echa un vistazo a este vídeo” se añade una nueva forma de recomendar las aplicaciones y juegos a los usuarios de esta plataforma. Para poder utilizarlo, deberemos darle expresamente al botón para reproducir el contenido en pantalla completa, logrando de este modo tener que abrir la ficha para ver las imágenes y leer la descripción de aquello que queremos instalar en nuestro dispositivo, algo de lo que también os podéis informar en Xataka Android.

If you’re in the UK and want to buy an Apple Watch, now’s probably the time to do it. And make sure you choose either Currys or PC World as your supplier for Apple’s first smartwatch.
Why? Because both of those retailers are now offering the Apple Watch models with discounts ranging from £50 to £120. Those are quite the savings, especially for an Apple-made device.
Let’s exemplify. The 38mm Apple Watch Sport with a black or white strap is normally priced at £299, but it can now be yours for just £249. The 42mm stainless steel Apple Watch with the milanese loop band has a recommended retail price of £559, but is now offered for a mere £439.

Parece que fue ayer cuando Apple publicaba en la Google Play Store su primera aplicación desde el nacimiento de Android. Y es que el tiempo pasa increíblemente rápido ya que si echamos una mirada hacia atrás, caemos en la cuenta de que esto sucedió hace ya casi dos meses. A pesar de todo, parece que Apple Music como servicio de streaming no ha llamado mucho atención de los usuarios Android comparada con otras como Spotify o Deezer.
Si damos un salto en el tiempo hasta el día de hoy, comprobaremos que Apple parece haber perdido la timidez. Y es que, según parece, la gente de Cupertino tiene en mente migrar algunas de sus aplicaciones más populares dentro de iOS hasta el sistema operativo del pequeño androide verde.
El actual CEO de Apple, Tim Cook, ha dejado caer alguna que otra declaración, que puede o no ir con segundas, en el evento más reciente de la compañía -conocido como “Town Hall”- para los empleados de la compañía. Estas insinuaciones manifestadas durante dicho acontecimiento podrían ser interpretadas de varias maneras, aunque no resultan demasiado difícil de entender.
Según Cook, la aplicación de Apple Music para Android fue un intento de “tantear el terreno” dentro del ecosistema líder en términos de adopción. Con ésto, podemos entender que los directivos de Apple planean expandir el catálogo de apps -más bien aplicación, en singular- que podemos encontrar ahora mismo en Android, lo cual plantea un gran número de interrogantes.
Principalmente y lo que más curiosidad provoca es el porqué de este repentino movimiento justo en estos momentos. En segundo lugar, ¿cuáles serán las aplicaciones que tengan la suerte de estar disponibles en Android? ¿Significa ésto que pronto, los usuarios de Android tendremos acceso a iCloud o iMessage? Sería una estrategia inteligente.
Aunque Apple sea una de las compañías con más beneficios en todo el planeta, las cosas no siempre van a ir viento en popa. La firma de la manzana mordida no va a seguir atrayendo clientes continuamente, y necesita una cantera de donde empezar a llamar la atención de otro tipo de público: los usuarios de Android.

No one has ever claimed the Samsung Galaxy S6 gets amazing battery life. In fact, it’s mostly the exact opposite. But according to a rumor from Eldar Murtazin (yes, that Eldar Murtazin), the Galaxy S7 is a huge improvement.
Posting on Twitter, long time mobile industry writer, also known for numerous rumors over the years, Murtazin is claiming to have a pre-release Galaxy S7 in his possession that is getting him through two days of moderate usage. That’s with the display at 75% brightness and with no WiFi. Murtazin has been hit or miss over the years with his rumors, but with screenshots to back him up, there’s good reason to believe this might be accurate.

Of course, how everyone uses their phone will greatly change the kind of battery life they get, but with a rumored 3000mAh battery coming to the Galaxy S7, it’s safe to assume everyone will see at least some sort of positive improvement. Whether or not you’ll really be able to get two days of usage remains to be seen.

A few weeks back, @evleaks stated that the HTC One M10 would be appealing to those who liked the look of the HTC One A9. Today, he’s shared a picture of a device that is expected to be the HTC One M10, which shares quite a few design elements with the One A9.
The first thing that most people will notice is that the HTC logo is not present on the front of the phone. The pictured device sports 2.5D glass that curves into the sides of the phone, meeting a gold-colored aluminum case with a few white antenna slits on the sides and top. There’s only one speaker slit on the front of the phone (sorry, no proper BoomSound), but the speaker slit above the display is a bit beefier than that of the One A9. Below the display is the phone’s fingerprint scanner, which is less wide yet taller than the one used on the A9.
So far, the image suggests that the One M10 will look quite similar to the A9, but we don’t really know if HTC is planning any major design changes for the back.
