Managed to add slopes in Vanilla Minecraft with the help of 3D models

However, it needs a custom resource pack and only used purely for show in builds. The slopes you are seeing right now are green stained glasses with their models replaced. The blocks below it are normal white stained clays. But since green stained glass is a full block, this means that the position of the block is not relative to the direction I'm standing. The only way to make this work is to use stairs.

I used green stained glass since its a transparent block, so I do not need to worry about the block being see through, ruining the effect.

At least, you can now construct builds more realistically, assuming the player doesn't break and observe it closely 😀

Great news for Mac users! via /r/Minecraft

Great news for Mac users!

https://redd.it/5080b8 Credit to /u/FatalDeath for finding this file in the 0.16 beta APK files…

And yes, this IS legit. You can find it at "assets/resourcepacks/vanilla/images/gui/titleOSX.png" in the APK. (You'll need to decompile it first.)

I'm going to guess this is a very-quickly-thrown-together-and-rather-tongue-in-cheek placeholder image for the now pretty-much-confirmed OS X (or rather, macOS, as its new name goes) version of the C++ Edition of Minecraft that they are apparently working on. The Education Edition is already on OS X, so I'd expect to see this version of MCPE come out fairly soon. (Interestingly, commands also came to EE in 0.14 and are now coming to MCPE/Win10 in 0.16.)

That, or this is some cruel joke by the devs that they expected us to find, but I don't think they would tease something like this if they didn't plan on it happening. 😛

And no, there aren't any Linux edition placeholder images yet, sorry. 😦
