I think it’s time for a true “adventure update”

After watching the recent PE trailer, I noticed that it really showed a false sense of adventure. All the cool places they went and things that the characters did to get to the end portal may not seem like much, but it's overwhelming compared to what we only have to do right now.

It just got me thinking how awesome it would be to have more elaborate and cool structures to accommodate for the more adventurous players.

I get that it's a building game, but if you are going to introduce goals and tasks, I would hope that it's fun to do complete said goals.

Also, in the trailer when there were miners mining and building, I think that would be cool too. To an entity that has some sort of human-like interaction without needing multiplayer.

Just my thoughts though, I'm interest to hear what other people think about the situation.

LPT: Turn subtitles on if you’re looking for abandoned mineshafts. via /r/Minecraft

Turns out that minecarts creaking on rails in dungeons have a very wide broadcast area. It makes it much easier to tell if you're passing over an abandoned mineshaft from the surface.
