Es frecuente asistir a presentaciones en las que los fabricantes nos hablan de tal o cual versión de su capa propietaria que está a punto de llegar al mercado, y de qué funciones incluirá. Eso también ocurre en el caso de Xiaomi con su capa para Android, MIUI, así que nos puede interesar saber qué versión tenemos instalada por distintos motivos.
Quizá porque tengamos disponible una nueva versión para nuestro teléfono y no lo sepamos, pues podemos tener las actualizaciones automáticas desactivadas, o quizá porque estemos interesados en una funcionalidad concreta y no la localizamos.
