Minecraft Bi-Weekly Build Challenge #11: Space station
What a great build! All of the exhibits were beautifully made and incorporating the underground was a great idea and looked super cool!
Again, great build using the underground as well. One of the things I really liked here was the fact that the environments were detailed and nice but also they used elevation in them as well.
Good build but while Silver did amazing adding detail using height and changing the height, here everything seemed a bit flat. Tip! If you don't want to change the elevation because it might not work well, consider adding ferns, grass, tall grass or flowers to spice it up a bit more! Good build though!
Thanks to /u/Matt10y for this challenge!
We are going to space today! By using a void world or building very high in the sky, we will be creating space stations. Bring out your inner sci-fi and create a space station that will trick people in believing they are watching Star Wars!
Inspiration
How to create a void world if you don't know
If someone builds something as grand and epic as this, I will be beyond impressed
Easy mode Build a space station. Must be in space (void world, very high up or a planet in the background). Must have at least 1 spaceship port. Interior not needed but you can build it if you want.
Hard mode Everything in Easy mode. Build 3 spaceship ports, with at least 1 docked ship and 1 spaceship not docked.
Title of submission
Easy or hard mode
Link to submission photos or video (preferably youtube or Imgur)
Comments
2. Vanilla only No mods that add new blocks or items are allowed. No resource packs are allowed. Any minecraft version is allowed and you may build with custom terrain, creative mode, world edit or etc as long as it doesn't add any new blocks to the game.
3. No preexisting builds We're going with the honour system here but if anything had already been built before the start of the contest, don't submit it.
4. Build teams are allowed There may be more that one person building for a challenge but only one person may submit their entry with their account
Link to sheet. The leaderboards are on the 2nd page
For points and judging:
There is only 3 winners each week. Each participant will get 1 point for submitting their entry if in easy mode. In hard mode, they will get 2. There are honourable mentions but they do not get any extra points.
Anybody that places Bronze with an easy submission gets 3 points and if they do a hard challenge, they get 4 points
Anybody that places Silver with an easy submission gets 5 points and if they do a hard challenge, they get 6 points
Anybody that places Gold with an easy submission gets 7 points and if they do a hard challenge, they get 8 points
Sunday, January 22nd 2017: Challenge begins!
Saturday morning, February 4th 2017: Contest is closed. No other submissions will be allowed.
Sunday morning, February 5th 2017 A new challenge and winners are announced in that post!

Why doesn’t Minecraft have Spyglasses?
This is the perfect game for them! Let's think about things they could be used for. Zooming in far away while on a boat or horse, or simply on foot. Maybe they could tell you the health an enemy has remaining, or even an enemy's name.
If nothing else, it would be useful for those of us with a higher render distance.
Maybe they'd be made out of wood and glass. Or something more complicated, like metal and nether quartz. Or even a ghast tear / eye of ender.
A must have for a survival exploration game.
Edit: Wow, so much hate. Just looking for a fun "what if" conversation.
