Black Mesa contra los trolls anti-Linux
Black Mesa, es un remake del famoso videojuego Half-Life de Valve, viene en forma de mod para Half-Life 2 para el que no lo conozca y pinta muy bien. Los desarrolladores han modificado y reconstruido totalmente el videojuego para que parezca un juego diferente, empleando la potencia del motor gráfico Source que tenía Half-Life. Aunque también han realizado modificaciones en éste para mejorar la jugabilidad. Además, es compatible con cualquier videojuego que utilice Source como graphic engine.
Pues bien, mucho se ha hablado en algunos foros de Black Mesa y de su llegada a Linux, tanto para bien como para mal. Algunos trolls anti-Linux parece que lanzaron unos mensajes sobre la llegada de Black Mesa a Linux, llegando a negar que esto llegase a suceder. Al parecer esto es lo que ha sucedido en el foro Steam destinado a este videojuego. Pero después de estos desafortunados mensajes que han preocupado a los seguidores de este videojuego que usan la plataforma del pingüino, todo parece haberse aclarado.
Tanta confusión se ha terminado cuando un desarrollador de Black Mesa ha salido a la palestra y ha puntualizado en el foro de Steam que no se está discutiendo si el videojuego llegará a Linux o no, simplemente están trabajando en portarlo a Linux. No hay discusión posible ni duda alguna…. Además alega que merece realmente la pena hacerlo para que llegue a los linuxeros. A pesar de lo que digan algunos trolls como estos que los hay en todos los foros y en todas las páginas webs con comentarios que poco nutren, la verdad, más bien todo lo contrario. Y una cosa es dar una opinión y otra crear duda o expandir una mentira deliberadamente para hacer daño.
En cuanto al estado, parece que progresa, aunque están encontrando algunos errores, nada del otro mundo, era algo esperado como bien ha anunciado el desarrollador. Ahora hay que trabajar para corregirlos, ya que no son problemas demasiado complejos, pero hay gran cantidad de ellos. El desarrollador, ha dejado tranquila a la comunidad de usuarios que están pendientes de la noticia y asegura que tan pronto como tengan una versión estable, la pondrán al alcance de todos en Steam de Valve.
