‘Lilium’, un avión eléctrico ultraligero que puede despegar desde tu jardín

Imagina una aeronave que puede recibir energía de tu tomacorriente, puede despegar tu jardín, y con unos motores eléctricos tan silenciosos que no molestarían a tus vecinos.

Esa es la visión detrás de Lilium, un avión eléctrico ultraligero que su equipo alemán de diseño espera poner a la venta e 2018.

La aeronave de dos asientos, con forma de huevo, puede ascender y descender verticalmente, como un helicóptero, por lo que se puede usar en helipuertos.

Requiere un área plana de 15 metros por 15 metros para despegar y aterrizar.

Está en etapa de prototipo, pero sus ingenieros dicen que podría alcanzar hasta 400 kilómetros por hora y viajar hasta 500 kilómetros de distancia.

Top Gear Episode 1 Review: What Has Changed At The World’s Favourite Motoring Show?

I was offered the chance to attend the first studio recording of the show, which took place on Thursday May 19. And that’s the first change, in the old days Top Gear recorded on the Wednesday before the show aired on Sunday. They’ve taken a little longer now, I’m not sure why but I suspect it’s a lot easier on the editing team who used to be stuck working on the show right up until it aired.
