Samsung Pay has rung up 1 trillion KRW ($850 million) in transactions in South Korea

Samsung has announced that its mobile payments service Samsung Pay has processed a total of over 1 trillion KRW ($850 million) in transactions in its home country of South Korea. The milestone comes nine months after the service was launched in the country.

“Samsung Pay is changing the way consumers pay and we will continue to add the best services to create a differentiated mobile payment culture,” a company spokesperson said.
