VRidge te permite disfrutar de juegos de Oculus Rift y Vive en tu Android

Desde hace cierto tiempo la realidad virtual nos está empezando a envolver por completo, pues sólo es necesario ver la gran cantidad de gafas que están saliendo al mercado para este uso, y no sólo para smartphones sino que también para ordenadores o incluso más adelante en consolas.

Un claro ejemplo de ello son las Oculus Rift o las HTC Vive, que a pesar de prometer ofrecernos una gran experiencia, también prometen dejarnos un buen agujero en el bolsillo donde llevemos la cartera. En otras palabras, son unas gafas de realidad virtual carísimas de salida, algo que muchos no se podrán permitir en estos momentos. Aún así, y como siempre, ha aparecido una “opción B” con la que disfrutar de los títulos de estas gafas con las Cardboards que usamos con nuestros terminales Android.

A pesar de un título tan prometedor como el que os hemos escrito, todos entenderéis que esto es cierto siempre y cuando se salven las distancias de lo que son unas gafas y lo que son otras. En cuanto al funcionamiento de VRidge nos basamos en lo que se explica desde Android Police, ya que por lo visto esta app se basa en la comunicación cliente – servidor. En otras palabras, tu ordenador es el que ejecuta el juego, y gracias a la aplicación de escritorio retransmitirá la imagen a la pantalla del móvil mediante WiFi.

Como podéis observar en el vídeo, la experiencia dista mucho de lo que nos podríamos encontrar al usar Oculus o Vive, ya que muchos usuarios se quejan de la calidad de imagen o las caídas de frames. Además, el hecho de que se retransmita vía WiFi puede no ayudar demasiado según la conexión que poseas. También se debe entender que la app VRidge que puedes encontrar en Google Play todavía se encuentra en fase beta, por lo que tiene mucho que pulir.

Otro de los posibles inconvenientes es la máquina necesaria para poder hacer un uso correcto de VRidge, ya que pide prácticamente lo mismo que las gafas de realidad virtual como Oculus Rift. Samsung Galaxy J7 and LG K10 land at T-Mobile on May 18, leak says

T-Mobile is reportedly getting ready to add two more Android devices to its portfolio. These are the Samsung Galaxy J7 and the LG K10. According to a couple of leaked internal documents from the carrier, both of these will be launched on May 18, which is next Wednesday.

‘Assetto Corsa’ Has Been Pushed Back…Again
