Production issues force Xiaomi to delay Mi Band 2 launch

For those who are eagerly waiting for the next-gen Mi Band from Xiaomi, there’s some bad news: the wearable device’s launch has been pushed back. This was announced by none other than the Chinese company’s CEO Lei Jun on Weibo.

The Mi Band 2 was set to be made official on May 10, alongside the Mi Max and MIUI 8.0. While Xiaomi might still go ahead and unveil the device as per the schedule, the release has been delayed by a month, as noted by Jun in his post.

Android Marshmallow hits 7.5% adoption rate; Lollipop slightly down at 35.6%

Google has released the Android platform distribution numbers for the month of May, revealing that the latest iteration of its mobile OS – Marshmallow – is now powering 7.5% of all active Android devices worldwide.

That’s quite a notable jump for Marshmallow given that its share was 4.6% last month. Lollipop, meanwhile, held on to the top spot with 35.6% share, slightly down from 35.8% in April. KitKat also saw a decrease in share from 33.4% last month to 32.5% this month.

Over the last several decades aerodynamic development has become an increasingly important component of the automotive design process. Reducing the force required to push a body through the air has tangible benefits for fuel efficiency. When done right, it also has a side benefit of reducing the amount of wind noise heard in the cabin while driving.
