Activision Should Sell ‘Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered’ As A Standalone Game

Call of Duty made two major announcements today, inextricably bound together more by the logic of marketing than by any essential properties of their own. The first is Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, the juggernaut series’ first move into true sci-fi, spaceships and all. The second is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare remastered. As Paul Tassi noted, the idea of Modern Warfare remastered, often considered a high point for the series, is already capturing more attention than the new title. Which may have been the idea, because the only way to buy Modern Warfare remastered is as a part of a bundle with Infinite Warfare. It’s an awful lot of money if you’re not interested in the new game.
