Not quite and the shares reacted by diving up to 15% in choppy trading. So, what is prognosis now with the latest earnings almost upon us?

HP’s Chromebook 13 Brings Premium Build To Google’s Low Cost Chrome For Work Platform

Chromebooks and Chrome OS with Google’s cloud services platform of apps, like its Docs, Sheets and Drive storage, continue to make inroads in the enterprise and other cost competitive markets like education. As a result, key computing OEMs like HP are continuing to flesh out Chromebook offerings that are more compelling with each iteration, especially considering their price points. HP took the wraps off their Chromebook 13 today, a machine that hits the sweet spot of the ultralight laptop market, with a svelte 2.86 pound brushed aluminum frame that measures just 12.9mm thick and a QHD+ display option at 3200X1800 resolution.

HP’s new Chromebook 13 is thin and made out of brushed aluminum

HP has unveiled a new Chromebook today. It’s called HP Chromebook 13 and was apparently designed in partnership with Google. That kind of shows when you look at it, as its brushed aluminum construction and 12.9mm thinness pretty much scream “high-end”.

That said, the Chromebook 13 is more of a Chromebook Pixel for the masses, as it starts at just $499. At that price you do get the looks, but only a measly Pentium processor.

If you can pay more, then you’ll get a choice of Core m3, m5, or m7 CPU, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 3,200×1,800 resolution for the 13.3-inch non-touch display….

La línea Samsung Galaxy Note Edge podría volver con los próximos Samsung Galaxy Note 6

Cuando LG y Samsung estaban batiéndose para saber cuál de los dos sería el primero en lanzar al mercado un smartphone con la pantalla curva, Samsung se adelantó y presentó de forma exclusiva en Corea del Sur el Galaxy Round, que no estuvo mucho tiempo entre nostros. Después LG lanzó el primer LG Flex y más adelante llegó la presentación del Samsung Galaxy Note Edge en el IFA 2014 en Berlín.

Cuando Samsung presentó el Samsung Galaxy Note 5 no tuvimos versión con bordes curvados, pero este año sí podríamos tener un Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Edge junto con el Samsung Galaxy Note 6.

Según hemos podido saber gracias a SlashGear y parece que este dispositvo sí podría estar en camino después de todo, pero lo que más ha interesado a esta publicación ha sido las posibles especificaciones de estos dos nuevos terminales.

Estas podrían ser las especificaciones de los nuevos Samsung Galaxy Note 6

Según se recoge, el Samsung galaxy Note 6 contaría con lo siguiente en su versión tradicional y curvada:

  • Batería de 3.100 mAh
  • Pantalla de 5,8 pulgadas con resolución QHD (5,9 pulgadas para el Galaxy Note 6 Edge).
  • Cámara trasera de 12 megapíxeles.
  • Procesador Samsung Exynos 8890 o Qualcomm Snapdragon 820.
  • 6 GB de memoria RAM.
  • Almacenamiento interno de 64 ó 128 GB.
  • Certificación de resistencia al agua y al polvo IP68.

Esta certificación ya la obtuvieron los Samsung Galaxy S7 y S7 edge.

Por ahora todas estas especificaciones son especulación pura y dura, así que conviene tomárselo con cierto escepticismo. Recordamos que nada es oficial hasta que se presenta. El asunto de los 6 GB de memoria RAM es una especificación en particular que ya llevamos un tiempo oyendo, y dado que Samsung fabrica sus propios módulos de memoria no será muy difícil que se les ocurra algo adapado a los nuevos Galaxy Note.

En lo que respecta a la cámara, según se ha publicado hay rumores que hablan de un sensor todavía mayor que podría funcionar con las mismas condiciones de luminosidad y ofrecer una resolución mayor con un sensor de 14 ó 16 megapíxeles. En cualquier caso aún queda mucho para que el Samsung Galaxy Note 6 llegue al mercado, y seguramente habrá muchas filtraciones hasta que se presente oficialmente. Veremos qué nos depara el futuro.
