LG is working on adding new members to its K family of smartphones. This has been made obvious by a couple of listings in a benchmark’s online database. Someone has tested both the LG K530 and the K535 in Geekbench, and this has resulted in us finding out a few of their most important specs, courtesy of the benchmark’s info tab.

Qualcomm vuelve a estar en las noticias una vez más. Según hemos podido leer en PhoneArena, el analista de la industria Pan Juitang ha puesto sobre la mesa algunas interesantes predicciones sobre cómo serán los Qualcomm Snapdragon 830. Según sus datos, el chip será conocido a nivel interno como MSM8998 -recordamos que el Snapdragon 820 es MSM8996- y muestra varias diferencias con respecto a su predecesor.
Según se recoge, el nuevo chipset se fabricará siguiendo un proceso de 10 nanómetros en lugar del de 14 elegido para fabricar la generación anterior. También integrará un modem LTC Cat. 16 frente al Cat. 12 de la anterior unidad de proceso.
Otra característica que vale la pena mencionar es que en esta ocasión el Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 contará con ocho núcleos Kryo construidos especialmente para él, lo que seguramente ofrecerá un rendimiento espectacular a los terminales que lo monten.
Pan Juitang no ha dado una fecha estimada de salida al mercado, aunque según se ha publicado los fabricantes empezarán a pensar en incorporarlo entre finales de este año y principios de 2017. Este año todavía tiene que llegar el Qualcomm Snapdragon 823, que ofrecerá un incremento de frecuencia con respecto a su antecesor al llegar a los 2.800 MHz.
Como imaginamos que ya sabes, hace dos años las cosas se pusieron muy negras para el fabricante estadounidense. Desde la presentación del Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, para ser más exactos. Este procesador dirigido a la gama alta se vio completado por el Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 de seis núcleos, que acabaría en flagships de algunos fabricantes como el LG G4, que ya pasó por nuestros análisis.
Esto se debió a los múltiples problemas que acecharon al Snapdragon 810, entre ellos un de sobra conocido defecto de sobrecalentamiento que levantó muchas dudas entre fabricantes y usuarios. Los de Santa Clara llevan un tiempo intentando que el público olvide estos problemas, y por ahora el Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 que está siendo incorporado a la mayoría de los gama alta actuales parece estar consiguiéndolo.

Veremos qué ocurre cuando el Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 esté finalmente en la calle, pero por ahora los rumores que se conocen pintan muy bien sobre el papel.
