MediaTek Helio X30 posts a smashing Antutu score, built on 10nm process

Analyst Pan Jiutang revealed on Weibo today the MediaTek Helio X30 chipset will be manufactured using a 10nm manufacturing process. According to him, the Helio X30 will come with ten CPU cores – the Cortex-A35 will be used for non-demanding tasks, while the heavy lifting will be done by the yet unreleased “Artemis”.

Additionally, the X30 will support up to 8GB of RAM and come with a PowerVR GPU. Jiutang also provides a presentation slide, which shows the MediaTek Helio X30 scores 160,000 points on the Antutu benchmark, beating the Snapdragon 820 by 30,000.

The next version of Sony’s PS4 may not have been announced yet, but we’ve got enough rumors, winks, nudges and reports that it’s become eminently clear that Sony has something big up its sleeve, likely to be revealed at E3 and launched a few months later in October or November. There is enough out there, certainly, for the Internet to start generating a whole lot of chatter based on the basic concept of a Playstation 4.5, a PS4k, the PS4 “Neo,” or whatever we’re calling it. Spotify Is Becoming MySpace, While Apple Music Becomes Facebook

George Howard has grown surprisingly fond of Apple Music (even after their less than optimal launch). In the aftermath of Apple’s first revenue decline in 13 years, in which Apple Music was a lone bright spot, Mr. Howard suggests that Apple Music may be learning from Facebook, while Spotify emulates MySpace’s doomed path.
