LG G5 arrives with Friends, we do the unboxing
LG has come up with a very nice G5 reviewer’s kit and we just got ours. It’s a big colorful box with fancy hinges and a retro fastener. Within the promising looking package we found the retail LG G5, the LG 360 Cam, the LG Cam Plus module, and the LG Hi-Fi Plus with B&O Play.
We already had a very pleasant encounter with the LG G5, but it’s just now that we see its retail box and contents. We’ll be updating our review with the new test scores early next week.

Microsoft releases Lumia 650 in the US and Canada
Quite a while after its unveiling back in February, the Microsoft Lumia 650 is now finally available in the US and Canada. This comes after a three-week pre-order period for the new mid-range smartphone.
The Lumia 650 can be yours for $199 or CAD 199, and for that price you’ll receive a SIM-free and unlocked unit. You can order from Microsoft’s online store here for the US and here for Canada. This handset has already been available in Europe for many weeks, so it’s good to finally see it crossing the pond as well.

BlackBerry will deliver Priv’s Marshmallow upgrade by May
The wait for Marshmallow will soon be over for BlackBerry Priv owners. The Canadian has confirmed that it will make Android 6.0 available for its latest flagship in late April or early May. Its announcement comes after a Priv running Marshmallow was spotted in a YouTube video. It’s unclear how YouTube channel XLGadget got hold of Marshmallow

Oppo Find 9 se deja ver por GFXBench: una bestia con 4 GB de RAM y MediaTek Helio P10
Oppo es una de las firmas asiáticas más prestigiosas a día de hoy en el panorama tecnológico. Y es que estamos ante una compañía que se precia por el uso de materiales premium y diseños que, aún recordando sobremanera a otros smartphones, exudan estilo. Entre los dispositivos más aclamados de la firma se encuentran los de la gama Find, ya que combinan grandes tamaños con características más que respetables.
En esta ocasión se han filtrado precisamente las características del último tope de gama de la compañía para este año, el Oppo Find 9. El terminal filtrado conserva ciertas especificaciones de buques insignia de años anteriores, aunque en su mayor parte parecen conformar un excelente smartphone. Si bien ya sabemos algunas de sus especificaciones, todavía no ha habido ninguna imagen filtrada, aunque sí algún que otro render.

Comenzando por la pantalla, el Oppo Find 9 posee un panel de 5,5 pulgadas con resolución Full HD. Ésto resulta un tanto incoherente ya que el antecesor de este terminal, el Oppo Find 7, montaba una pantalla con definición QHD. No obstante, mientras que no veamos el terminal de forma oficial, no hay manera de confirmar estas filtraciones, por lo que podrían cambiar las especficaciones en cualquier momento.
En cuanto al procesador, los rumores en el pasado sugirieron que el Find 9 sería empujado por un Snapdragon 820 , lo que justificaría su tardanza. No obstante parecen que han sido desmentidos, ya que según esta última filtración el Oppo Find 9 incorporará el Helio P10 de la mano de MediaTek. Esto haría que el dispositivo se situase en una altamente disputada gama media-premium, llena a día de hoy de dignos smartphones.
En cuanto al apartado de la memoria, el Oppo Find 9 trae 4 GB de RAM y 64 GB de almacenamiento, según lo filtrado por GFXBench. No se sabe por el momento si existirá la posibilidad de ampliar la memoria a través de microSD, aunque es poco probable. Desafortunadamente, si observamos el benchmark filtrado, vemos que el terminal no traerá NFC, una característica crítica en la actualidad con la implementación de Android Pay.
Una de las características estrella del dispositivo parece ser la cámara delantera, puesto que presume de la apabullante cantidad de 16 megapíxeles, perfecta para todos los adictos a las selfies. Por otro lado, la cámara trasera posee un número algo más bajo de megapíxeles, quedándose en los 12, pero con la posibilidad de realizar vídeo en 4K.
Por otra parte, otro de los aspectos más criticados de los dispositivos de Oppo es su lentitud al actualizar de versión de Android. Parece que este grave problema se vuelve a manifestar aquí, ya que según el sitio de benchmarks, el Oppo Find 9 vendrá con Android 5.1.

Google’s Failed Prank Shows A Deeply Confused Company
Google has pulled a lot of pranks in its day, but this has got to be the worst one. The idea was called “Mic Drop:” a special send button in Gmail that would replace your signature with a Gif of one of Despicable Me’s minions dropping a mic, the idea being that once you sent that email you wouldn’t be able to receive any responses. The company decided to implement it with a little Mic Drop button right next to the normal “send” button, without much in the way of explanation. So people started clicking it by accident and inadvertently ruining their careers/lives. Fun!
