Marshmallow will land on the BlackBerry Priv in late April or early May

Yesterday we caught a video showing the BlackBerry Priv running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and now we finally have a rough release timeline for it to speak of.

Last year BlackBerry promised to bring Marshmallow to its first Android smartphone in 2016, then this January that commitment was reiterated with details allegedly coming by the end of Q1. And sure enough, here we are in the first day of the second quarter of the year and we now know what to expect.

The new software will be arriving on a BlackBerry Priv near you either in late April or in early May. That’s still pretty vague, of…

[PSA] Please check your minecraft account to make sure your not hacked.

I received an email a few minutes ago asking to change my security questions on minecraft. As I am at work, I would have no reason to change it. When I logged into my account I was greated with "You have not logged in from this IP before, please enter your security questions". The name in the upper right hand corner is BedirOyunOffical. I was able to unlock my account via security options and I checked on the profile. They changed my name to "Bedirhan Oktu". The last time I played on any servers was in December. The last time I played at all was last week on an offline world I made for about 5 minutes. I do not have mods installed and I only play on servers run by people I know. My email was hacked last month, so this might be related, but I was able to login to that account and my minecraft account since then.

Just check on your account to make sure its secure.

Edit – I cant find where to change my username back to what it was.

Oculus Rift Founder Still Doesn’t Know When Your Headsets Are Shipping

Something to remember: Palmer Luckey is 23 years old. I remember being 23, and it’s not fun. Just watch Reality Bites. Just something to keep in mind when reading his responses to the frustration on the Oculus Rift subreddit surrounding the fact that all sorts of customers — even some who ordered in the first few minutes the Rift was available — have essentially no idea when they’re getting their headsets. Luckey doesn’t seem to know either, and he came off a little frustrated when he showed up on reddit to talk about it:

I am not going to wax poetic about this, since I have done so in the past, but bottom-line: I won’t give in-depth updates on any situation without knowing it is solid, true, and finalized. Until I can do so, the best I can do is remind people that I will get them information as quickly as I can.

Verizon’s Galaxy S6 and S6 edge are now receiving Marshmallow updates

Around a month and a half ago Samsung started rolling out updates to Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge (pictured below), last year’s flagship smartphones. And now Verizon has finally caught up and commenced the same rollout for the S6 and S6 edge units it’s sold.

The update will make its way out in stages, so it could be quite a few days before it hits every S6 or S6 edge purchased from Verizon. Nevertheless, at least it is now on its way.

If you have one of these devices and haven’t received the update notification yet, you can obviously choose to manually check…
