1.9 is Exactly What Minecraft Needed. I love it, and I hope the devs turn a deaf ear to the vocal minority of nay-sayers
Minecraft has a diverse population, to be sure. Everyone from my little cousins to people twice my age from all over the word play it. I don't expect everyone to want the same experience as a gamer who has been playing for over 2 decades, but I hope you can understand why this is such a grand improvement for us.
If you aren't great at games or you just don't want to deal with a challenge, you have and have always had options: You can play on easy, you can play on peaceful, you can play in creative mode, you can turn off mob-griefing, etc. All of these tools are available to you without any mods or additional hassle.
If you wanted a real challenge, you didn't really have that many options. Sure, you could put the game on hard or play in hardcore mode, but that really just updates stat values behind the scenes or greatly ups the cost of death. It doesn't require more skill or create a more nuanced experience, it just affords you less mistakes.
The people who only like to build have gotten plenty of updates aimed just at them. This update was for us: Your survival players, your pvpers, and your end game content crushers. And, honestly, that's fine because our concerns are no less valid than any other players.
So, before you get all upset and start demanding that Mojang change your game back to the "perfect" state it was coincidentally in at the exact moment that you were most invested in it, maybe remember that you have a slider in your options menu to take you right back to the same unengaging, watered down experience that you so crave.
If you hate the update because of PvP changes, I don't know what to tell you besides try to keep an open mind and experience the changes before you summarily judge them. Like flying the Elytra, it may not come as naturally and it may be a chore to master, but once you do you'll be soaring through the heavens.
Mojang, thank you for hearing our pleas and adding new content for everyone, instead of just focusing on making your game as mass-appealing and easily digestible as possible, which is what most game producers would have done in your shoes. Your bravery and dedication to high quality deserves praise.

It’s true that amazing things happen in the dark and water is pretty much everywhere. These facts are highlighted in two new Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge commercials which were recently published to Samsung’s YouTube channel. Fortunately, the commercials take a lighthearted approach to both subjects and giving us a reason why we should care that the new phones have improved low light camera capabilities while being protected from minor incursions with water.
My favorite line from the ads is “if you’re well below average looking, your only chance of kissing an attractive person is… yep, in the dark.” Since that describes me, I’m definitely putting the Galaxy S7 at the top of my “must have” list so that I can take a picture of that moment if it even happens.

Una de las mayores y más atractivas ventajas de Android es su capacidad de personalización. Por ejemplo, si no te gusta el teclado que acompaña a tu dispositivo de fábrica, siempre puedes acceder a la Google Play Store para descargar otro que se adapte a tus preferencias. Entre los más populares se encuentra el Teclado de Google, que enamora por su simplicidad a la vez que rendimiento.
El Teclado de Google posee una gran número de opciones que permiten modificar varios aspectos del mismo. Por ejemplo, si usas este teclado a diario y no te gusta que por defecto auto-corrija tus palabras, no es complicado inhabilitar la opción de auto corrección. Sin embargo, puede resultar algo confuso si no se está familiarizado, por lo que hemos decidido explicar cómo desactivar la auto corrección en el Teclado de Google.
Si tienes un dispositivo con Android Lollipop o Marshmallow en su versión stock, sin capa de personalización, debes acceder a Ajustes>Idioma y Entrada>Teclado de Google. En este menú encontrarás un sub-apartado llamado “Corrección Ortográfica”, en el cual se encuentra la opción de deshabilitar la auto corrección de texto.
Si no tienes un smartphone con Android puro, el proceso tampoco es difícil. En primer lugar, debes instalar la aplicación de Teclado de Google y acceder a ella. Una vez hayas hecho eso, verás la misma opción de “Corrección Ortográfica” que mencionamos antes. Una vez hayas accedido, y como en las indicaciones previas, desactiva la opción “Autocorrección”.
Aunque quizás la interfaz de mi dispositivo tenga una apariencia diferente, los pasos serán similares en todos los terminales con Android 5.0 o superior.
No obstante, las demás opciones en el apartado de “Corrección Ortográfica” conviene dejarlas habilitadas, ya que no modifican nada, sino que proporcionan sugerencias mientras escribes. Para todos aquellos que deseen probar el Teclado de Google, pueden descargarlo a través del link que proporcionamos más abajo. Eso sí, sólo es compatible con versiones de Android 4.0 o superiores.

BlackBerry has rolled updates to several key apps for the Priv, now available on the Google Play Store. Camera, Launcher and Keyboard have been improved, with new features and refinements making their way to BlackBerry’s first Android-running smartphone.
Camera has been graced with a slow motion video recording mode, which shoots at 120fps, and plays back at 30fps, so you’re getting 1/4x speed videos. BlackBerry doesn’t state the resolution, but it’s likely 720p.
Launcher now gets Recent, Personal and Work views, as well as other minor tweaks like shortcut removal with a flick and grayed out app icons when you remove the microSD card the app has been installed on. Keyboard has seen improvements in prediction where it can now learn words and numbers, as well as sift through emails and social messages to better understand its user.
You can view the complete list of updates in the links to the Play Store below, but only those with a Priv can actually reap the benefits.
