El pasado mes de enero, el famoso teclado third party SwiftKey introdujo Switfkey Stats, una característica especial para Android que lleva la cuenta de ciertos datos generados cuando el usuario teclea en la aplicación. En un principio esta función sólo estaba disponible en la beta, aunque al final ha acabado abriéndose camino hacia la edición regular de la app.
Con esta característica el teclado hará que aprendamos más sobre nosotros mismos mientras tecleamos. Por ejemplo, podremos saber sobre qué temas escribimos más. No en vano Microsoft ha comprado SwiftKey, ya que debido a sus impresionantes capacidades de predicción los usuarios se han ahorrado en torno a 10.000 millones de pulsaciones. Por supuesto, y dado que Microsoft está dando pasos cada vez más firmes dentro del sector de la productividad, la compra de SwiftKey tenía mucho sentido.
Como decíamos, las capacidades de predicción de SwiftKey son impresionantes, y gracias a SwiftKey Stats vamos a poder saber cómo trabajan. Y sin embargo, su acción no se limita únicamente a las palabras según hemos sabido gracias a Phone Arena.

Con la ayuda de SwiftKey Stats también podrás saber qué emojis son los que más usas, y cuál usas especialmente, más incluso que el resto de usuarios de SwiftKey. Esto es lo que los desarrolladores han dado en llamar el signature emoji. Otra estadística que controla la aplicación es cuántas nuevas palabras se añadieron a tu vocabulario personal. Este número empieza en cero cuando instalas la aplicación, e irá aumentando conforme pase el tiempo.
Todos los datos que se generan con SwiftKey Stats se presentan con gráficos coloridos y listas que hacen fácil el aprender unas cuantas cosas sobre uno mismo.
