New iPad Pro’s Mission Impossible

Apple has announced an event to take place on March 21st. Accompanied by the slogan ‘Let us loop you in’, it is widely expected to see the reveal of a four-inch smartphone (the iPhone SE) and a new 9.7 inch iPad (which is likely going to carry the iPad Pro branding). Although Apple’s PR team is going to have to work hard to avoid making the same mistakes with the iPhone SE that doomed the iPhone 5C to be seen as the ‘cheap budget device’ of the iPhone portfolio, I think the harder but more rewarding challenge will come with the new iPad.

Cómo volver a Android Marshmallow tras haber instalado Android N

Hace unos días, Google ponía a disposición de los usuarios de manera oficial Android N Developer Preview, una versión beta de la próxima iteración del sistema operativo, sólo para los Nexus, donde se muestra lo que está por venir. Las acciones del gigante de Internet sorprendieron a los usuarios sobremanera, y es que se trata de la primera vez que Google libera la Developer Preview tan temprano en el año.

No obstante, se agradece que Google haya preferido hacer las cosas como las ha hecho, ya que así hemos podido echarle un vistazo anticipado a todas las nuevas funcionalidades y cambios que están por venir. Y créeme, la próxima versión de Android está llena de nuevas características y funciones, por lo que si no las has visto todavía, nosotros te las contamos todas.

No obstante, si en su momento te sobrellevó la emoción por ver cómo era Android N e instalaste la Developer Preview sin pensarlo dos veces, puede que quieras volver a la versión anterior del sistema operativo. Si no sabes cómo hacerlo, no te preocupes, no es muy difícil. En este artículo te enseñamos cómo.

Cómo volver a Android Marshmallow si has instalado Android N

A la vez que instalar de Android Developer Preview resultó ser la iteración del software más fácil de instalar –respecto a sus predecesores–, el proceso inverso tampoco podría ser más simple. Para retornar tu Nexus al estado anterior a Android N, simplemente es necesario acudir a la misma página de donde descargaste el software en su versión beta.

Por tanto, una vez en esta página, si tu Nexus fue candidato apto para instalar Android N, debería serlo para desinstalarlo. De esta manera, tendrás que hacer click en UNENROLL DEVICE. Una vez hayas hecho eso, en cuestión de minutos recibirás una actualización OTA (Over The Air), que será mandada a tu dispositivo.

Eso sí, hay que tener en cuenta que si eliges revertir la versión de tu sistema operativo a Android Marshmallow –o a cualquier otra versión–, tu terminal será reiniciado y la memoria será limpiada. Así, perderás todos los datos almacenados en el smartphone, por lo que quizás sea mejor pensarlo dos veces.

LG G5 up for pre-order at BestBuy starting March 18

Pre-orders of the Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 edge have already shipped, and the smartphones are also available for immediate purchase now, but the LG G5 is still nowhere to be found. A step in the right direction will be made on March 18, in the US at least, when BestBuy will start accepting pre-orders.

In all fairness, the date and retailer have been known since day 1, but now a landing page has cropped up on BestBuy’s website confirming the initial announcement. That said, there’s still no official word on actual availability, but April 8 has been sort of confirmed for the UK and Canada, so the US should be getting it around that time, though rumors of an April 1 launch have been heard.

One thing’s for sure, however, the G5 will ship with an extra battery and a charging cradle, to better make use of that modular design. The rest of the G5’s friends you’ll have to buy separately, though.
