Robot Cars Are Coming, But Don’t Hold Your Breath Because Big Hurdles Remain

Reliable artificial intelligence (AI) is a crucial ingredient for the future of robot cars. Experts reckon AI problems will be solved but are less confident about legal problems.

It was onward and upwards after Google’s AlphaGo won the contest with a human in the ancient Chinese board game, Go. But thumbs down, when Microsoft’s attempt to make its so-called “chatbot” artificial intelligence experiment become smarter with experience, disintegrated into foul-mouthed abuse and ignorance, according to press reports.

Suggestions fully-autonomous robot cars are just around the corner is really hype and bluster, and although experts reckon artificial intelligence problems are solvable, they don’t expect to see these ground-breaking vehicles on public roads in any great numbers for maybe 10 years.

And there’s another underlying problem for the traditional auto industry. Will the convergence of robot cars, revolutionary approaches to mobility, and electric cars expose it to a fatal blow from high technology companies?

Second wave iPhone SE and iPad Pro 9.7 pre-orders kick off

Apple iPhone SE and iPad Pro 9.7 went official on March 21 at a special Apple event in California. Both new gadgets went on pre-order on March 24 in select markets and shipping there will begin on March 31.

Today Apple expanded the availability of the iPhone SE and the iPad Pro 9.7 to many more markets. Miitomo llega a España el 31 de marzo, al igual que el sistema de recompensas My Nintendo

Ya hemos hablado en muchas ocasiones sobre las intenciones que posee Nintendo para llevar parte de sus creaciones a los dispositivos móviles, incluso hemos comentado también el “contraataque” de Sony por evitar que Miitomo empiece a monopolizar por completo este gran e intenso mercado. De esta primera aplicación queremos volver a hablar hoy, ya que de ella poseemos nuevas y buenas noticias.

A pesar de que Miitomo ya estaba disponible para descargar en algunos países, no se podía obtener de manera oficial – si la APK de forma manual – por lo menos en España. Parece que en un par de días ésto va a terminar, ya que por fin va a llegar a nuestro país la primera famosa aplicación de la compañía nipona.

Miitomo aterriza el 31 de marzo de forma gratuita en España

Desde la propia cuenta de Twitter de Nintendo España nos invitan a “descubrir lo más inesperado sobre tus amigos” a partir del 31 de este mes, es decir, en un par de días. Junto con el tuit, se enlaza a un vídeo de Youtube en el que se promociona la app que muchos de vosotros ya habréis podido probar y que ya mostraron hace unos días atrás.

Como ya sabréis, la aplicación será de descarga gratuita y en ella os podréis crear un personaje Mii, personalizándolo para que sea parecido a vosotros o de forma completamente distinta, según a vuestro gusto. Además, podréis vincular vuestra cuenta de Nintendo, aunque no será necesario para poder usar la app.

También hemos hablado del amplio abanico de preguntas que se le hará al jugador al empezar a utilizar Miitomo, ya que éstas servirán para crear una especie de juego con los amigos que vayamos añadiendo a nuestro grupo, ¡y tendréis la posibilidad de compartirlo en vuestras redes sociales favoritas!

My Nintendo, el sistema de recompensas que también llegará junto a Miitomo

La novedad principal del aterrizaje de Miitomo a nuestro país es el hecho de que con ella también nos llegue My Nintendo, un nuevo sistema de recompensas. Todos aquellos que vinculen la cuenta de Nintendo con Miitomo, podrá beneficiarse de puntos que podrán utilizar más adelante en las apps y servicios de Nintendo.

Todavía quedará por ver cómo funcionará exactamente este sistema de recompensas, es decir, si será similar al que ya conocemos en 3DS y Wii U para la Nintendo eShop. ¿Habéis pensado ya en cómo personalizaréis a vuestros Mii?

Xiaomi unveils new Wi-Fi ac router, BT speaker and water purifier

Soon everything in your house can carry the Xiaomi brand – we saw the Wi-Fi enabled rice cooker, now let’s look at the rest of the Mi Ecosystem lineup.

Xiaomi Mi Router 3

It starts with the heart of a Wi-Fi network, the router. The Mi Router 3 features four antennas with Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac support for three times the performance of the previous generations. Unlike the Mi Router 2, this one doesn’t seem to come with terabytes of storage, but Xiaomi offers music and video streaming content through an exclusive app.
