Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) leaked official images leave little to the imagination

The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) has been gathering certifications here and there, and we even got a glimpse of its body from the customary 4 mugshots at Chinese regulator TENAA. Time for the full reveal now.

A complete set of official images has been uncovered by the folks over at Winfuture.de, who also dug up the Galaxy J5 (2016) the other day. Needless to say, the differences are marginal, and come down to very subtle proportional changes brought about by the different diagonal (5.5″ vs. 5.2″).

US T-Mobile’s made a name for itself in recent times for coming up with truly bonkers promo material. Aside from the usual we’re-better-than-the-others talk, the carrier is also doing smartphone unboxings as part of its marketing, and in the case of the Samsung Galaxy S7 that took place underwater.

Oficialmente Ubuntu 16.04 LTS tendrá el lanzador abajo

Así lucirá el nuevo Ubuntu 16.04 LTS para los que quieran utilizar el launcher en la parte inferior, una opción totalmente reversible

Hace ya algún tiempo, había surgido un fuerte rumor de que el clásico lanzador de Ubuntu, el cual normalmente está situado en la parte lateral izquierda, se podría cambiar de sitio a la parte de abajo, de forma similar a Windows. Pues en el día de ayer se anunció oficialmente que en Ubuntu 16.04 LTS aparecerá esta opción por primera vez en la historia.

Esta opción permitirá algo que muchos usuarios estabais esperando, ya que la mayoría de la gente que viene de Windows está acostumbrada a tener el launcher en la parte inferior de la pantalla. Otros de vosotros os quejaréis, ya que en parte se pierde la esencia de Ubuntu y una de sus mayores señas de identidad.

Lo mejor de todo es que esta opción es totalmente reversible, pudiendo volver al launcher lateral izquierdo cuando se desee. Esto ya se ha mostrado en las versiones Beta de Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, en la cual, por medio de comandos se podía cambiar de posición el launcher de Unity.

De momento solo están disponibles la posición inferior y la posición lateral izquierda. Se desconoce si en la versión final se pondrán más opciones de posición como la lateral derecha o la superior, algo que si permiten sistemas como Windows 7.

También desconozco si se podrá cambiar la posición sin utilizar comandos, es decir, con alguna configuración visual. Lo ideal sería que si, ya que hay mucha gente que no domina suficientemente la línea de comandos y siempre es más cómoda la interfaz gráfica.

También aprovecho esta nota para recordaros que la versión final de Ubuntu 16.04 LTS saldrá dentro de poco más de un mes, en concreto el día 21 de Abril de 2016, una fecha que seguramente sea definitiva salvo causa de fuerza mayor.

Why I Don’t Buy Organic, And Why You Might Not Want To Either

By all rights I should be an enthusiastic advocate of organic. I grew up helping my beloved grandfather in his organic garden in the 1960s. Some of our best friends in the late 1970s were pioneers in the development of the commercial organic industry. I’ve spent a significant proportion of my career developing biological and natural product-based pesticides which are applicable to organic. My problems with institutional organic are not at all about its founding ideals or about organic farmers, but rather about organic’s self-imposed limitations that have negative environmental implications, and about the ethics of a sub-set of its promoters.
