Oneplus 3 to launch in Q2, to be drastically different from predecessors

We’ve all heard about Oneplus. It was the company who promised to sell a phone that was a flagship killer. The company got so much attention with the introduction of the Oneplus One.

It was a $300 phone that was sold unlocked and designed to directly compete with the other leading flagships at the time like the more costly devices like the Nexus 5, Galaxy S5 or LG G3 while offering similar or better features that users look for in a phone like NFC, great camera, and long lasting battery life.

In a CNET interview with Oneplus co-founder, Carl Pei stated that the US market will be very important for Oneplus this year with more traditional marketing methods. Could this mean that the invite system will be shelved for the new flagship?

Perhaps. The company said it was very excited about the Oneplus 3 and thinks it will captivate interest like the Original One did, the Oneplus 2 wasn’t as well received when someone decided to strip NFC from the phone altogether, thought it did sell more units than the OnePlus One.

It was not all flowers and roses for the Chinese startup company at the beginning. The company decided to go unconventional and set up an invitation-only program to sell the OnePlus One. So for several months after the phone’s launch, it was still damn-near impossible to get your hands on one of these suckers.

Oneplus was able to use all this positive (and negative) attention that it’d been getting with the launch of the Oneplus One to build a reputation and customer base. The Chinese startup says it has 800,000 active forum users who support the Oneplus community and inspire the company’s design choices for its smartphones.

Tips for utilizing the new mending enchantment in 1.9

I've been playing on the 1.9 snapshots for several months now, and I've discovered some useful tips that have helped me use mending more effectively. Here they are:

  1. The best way to get mending is to get a librarian villager that sells it for a cheap price. I have a villager that trades it for only 12 emeralds, and with a large sugar cane farm or another cheap source of emeralds, it's easy to get a double chest full of mending books. Based on experience, I have found that it's actually fairly common to find librarians that trade it. And it's often pretty cheap because it's technically a level 1 enchant. If you can't get villagers for whatever reason, the second best option is probably to use an enchanted fishing rod. I would discourage anyone from trying to get the treasure enchants by looking for temples/dungeons because this isn't nearly as effective and your world size will increase by a lot of you generate a ton of new chunks.

  2. In order to repair a tool with mending as fast as possible, it needs to be the only thing with mending That you are holding/wearing. If you are wearing armor with mending, even if the armor is at full durability, it will decrease the rate at which the tool you're holding gets repaired. This is because when you get exp the game randomly selects a mending item you have equipped to repair. If the selected item is already fully repaired, the exp will go to your experience bar even if you are wearing/ holding another item with mending. thus, the quickest way to repair a mending item is to unequip all your other mending gear.

  3. It is possible to go strip mining indefinitely using a mending pickaxe, but only if the pickaxe doesn't have silk touch and you're wearing non-mending armor

  4. I recommend keeping a few copies of your favorite tools with mending at your base. that way, when one wears out you can replace it with a brand new one. When they're all worn out, you can go to your exp farm and repair them all at once.

Could 1.10/2.0 be the lore update?

I don't know about you guys, but with all of these structures and dimensions in the game, it leaves me with many questions regarding why and how and I feel like something that would add a LOT to the game would be things that give background information or just exposition to certain places and things in the game. I don't know what mojang would add if they did do a lore update, but if they did, I would be INCREDIBLY excited about it. Minecraft is a game that I love playing and I love the creativity and freedom it gives you, but as I build my kingdoms, I wonder why I'm the only big kingdom or why I'm the only of my kind. I understand the problems with adding real lore, but I feel there would be more benefits as far as keeping interest and other things than problems, the problem being that it could take away some of the creativity or freedom that I love the game for so much, but while I enjoy being able to shape my world's story exactly as I want it, I also want to see others' stories and why many things are the way they are like the End or villages. This update could bring back players who've lost interest or bring new ones in because lore or story, per say peeks their interest. Whether or not my suggestion is taken seriously, I look forward to 1.9's final release and whatever is in store for the next! Thanks!

Zopo es un fabricante asiático que está consiguiendo hacerse un hueco en nuestro mercado gracias a sus soluciones formadas por una gama de terminales que destacan por la calidad de sus acabados, diseño atractivo, buenas prestaciones y una relación calidad precio inigualable. Y dentro del marco del Mobile World Congress hemos tenido la oportunidad de realizar una entrevista a Víctor Planas, CEO de Zopo Iberia, quién nos va a contar un poco quién es Zopo y cómo pretende afianzarse en España como marca de telefonía, además de mostrarnos algunos detalles del Zopo Speed 8, nuevo teléfono del fabricante que fue presentado el día 24 de febrero de 2016.

En unas horas tendréis subido en nuestro canal de youtube un completo análisis del nuevo terminal de Zopo, el Zopo Speed 8. Tras este nombre se esconde nada más y nada menos que el MediaTek Helio X20, convirtíendose el Zopo Speed 8 en el primer teléfono Android con procesador de diez núcleos. Vamos que si el embajador de la marca es Jorge Lorenzo, es porque el nuevo buque insignia de Zopo es realmente rápido.

Siguiendo con las especificaciones técnicas del Zopo Speed 8, comentaros que cuenta con 4 GB de memoria RAM, además de 32 GB de almacenamiento interno que se puede ampliar a través de su ranura micro SD. Otro de los puntos fuertes de este teléfono, que será compatible con las redes 4G LTE españolas, es el hecho de que integra una batería de 3.600 mAh, más que suficiente para soportar todo el peso del hardware de este interesante dispositivo que pretende llegar al mercado español a lo largo del mes de marzo.

Y,tras haber entrevistado al Director General de Zopo, lo que nos ha quedado muy claro es que este fabricante apuesta por la calidad de sus productos, por ofrecer un servicio postventa a la altura de las expectativas de cualquier usuario y ofrecer una gama de teléfonos con unas prestaciones  muy interesantes a unos precios rompedores. Y viendo la calidad de sus productos, queda claro que los chicos de Zopo llegan pisando muy fuerte.

Probamos el nuevo Xiaomi Mi 5, ¿es realmente tan bueno como parece?

Hace unas horas, la firma china Xiaomi nos presentaba en el MWC 2016 el nuevo Xiaomi Mi 5. Era la primera vez en su historia que la compañía se desplazaba a la feria, y de la mano de Hugo Barra, nos mostraron uno de los terminales más interesantes que hemos visto estos días, y que seguro será uno de los mejores del año.

Y es que se trata de una auténtica bestia parda, que hace uso del hardware que será el estándar este año en la gama alta. Pero no solo eso, sino que Xiaomi también se ha asegurado de crear un smartphone con un diseño y una calidad de construcción a la altura de lo que se le exige hoy en día a un tope de gama.

Xiaomi Mi 5, características

Tras hora y media de presentación, el Xiaomi Mi 5 dejaba de ser una incógnita para todos, y nos dejaba con la boca abierta en cuanto a especificaciones. Échale un vistazo tu mismo y saca conclusiones: el Mi 5 es puntero en todos sus apartados, o al menos, sobre el papel:

Este prometedor terminal se podrá encontrar en 3 versiones distintas; 16 GB de almacenamiento + 3 GB de RAM por 300 euros, 350 euros por el mismo dispositivo pero con 16 GB de almacenamiento más, y su máximo exponente lo podremos encontrar a 400 euros, integrando 128 GB de almacenamiento y 4 GB de RAM, además de acabado cerámico. Como podemos ver, el Mi 5 impresiona hasta en el precio.

De su cámara también se han contado maravillas, como por ejemplo su estabilizador de imagen, que le da mil vueltas al del iPhone 6s plus por ejemplo. Su batería tampoco se queda atrás, y no precisamente por su capacidad (3000 mAh) sino por su tecnología de carga rápida, la cual nos han vendido que será un 20% más rápida que su anterior generación. Tal y como vemos en la comparativa, el Mi 5 es lo que era el Mi 4 pero incluso mejor, mejorando encima algunos detalles como su puerto USB de tipo C y el super-demandado lector de huellas.

Así funciona el sistema de estabilización de imagen en el Huawei Mate 8

Uno de los stands más concurridos durante esta edición del Mobile World Congress ha sido el de Huawei. Pese a que el fabricante asiático no presentó ningún terminal con Android durante la rueda de prensa que tuvo lugar el pasado día 21 de febrero, lo cierto es que cientos de periodistas se han pasado por su stand para ver algunas de las soluciones del gigante chino. Y uno de los terminales más buscados era, sin lugar a dudas, el Huawei Mate 8. 

El motivo es muy sencillo: como habréis podido ver en nuestras primeras impresiones, el Huawei Mate 8 es un excelente teléfono que ofrece un rendimiento realmente espectacular, además de unos acabados de calidad y unas características técnicas que lo ensalzan en la gama media alta del mercado de los phablets. Y ahora, tras ver cómo funciona su potente sistema de estabilización óptica de imagen queda claro que la cámara del Huawei Mate 8 es uno de los puntos fuertes de este atractivo teléfono.

Huawei ha puesto mucho empeño para que la cámara del Huawei Mate 8 funcione como la seda. Y lo han conseguido. Para empezar su cámara principal cuenta con un sensor Sony  IMX 298, uno de los mejores del mercado. Sus características, enfoque rápido, apertura f /2.0 hacen de esta lente una de las mejores del mercado. Y si le sumamos su sistema de estabilización óptica de imagen, además del Flash Dual LED, tenemos una cámara realmente buena.

Habrá que esperar a que nos llegue una unidad de prueba para poder ver con más detalles este teléfono, aunque queda claro que la cámara del Huawei Mate 8 es una de las mejores en el mercado de los phablets. Y a vosotros, ¿qué os parece la cámara del Huawei Mate 8?

New leaks of iPhone 5se diagrams, power button relocated

Apple has a new 4 inch iPhone under wraps, one that will directly succeed the iPhone 5S. The iPhone 5se is closer to becoming a real thing.

9to5Mac was able to source early schematic diagrams from a case maker. These diagrams show very similar dimensions to the iPhone 5 and 5S except for a repositioned power button which was moved from the very top edge to the right-upper edge of the body, just opposite the volume keys and physical notification switch.

Many customers voices their opinions, stating that a 4.7 inch screen would be more difficult to reach all corners of the display. This is one of the reasons you can double-tap on the home button to bring the UI elements halfway down the screen.

Other angles of the diagram reveal a very subtle curvature around the device. While the edges are still flat, the seams between the body and glass are curved much like the iPhone 6 and beyond.

The iPhone 5se will allegedly be revealed by Apple at a March 15th event, come with the internals of an iPhone 6S, improved camera setup, live photos, NFC for mobile payments, and a new Rose Gold color option. It will reportedly come in 16 and 64GB size options and will cost the same as the iPhone…
