Samsung-Galaxy-S7-back

Samsung Galaxy S7 y Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, imágenes

Sirius XM Could Report Steady Subscriber Adds Yet Again

We expect the satellite radio company Sirius XM to report another quarter of sturdy subscriber growth, when it comes out with its Q4 2015 earnings on February 2nd.  Steady growth in new car sales and inroads into the used car market are expected to have driven subscriber growth for the company during the quarter. While new vehicle penetration in the new car market remains stable at 71%, a rise in vehicle sales should have transitioned proportionally into an increase in the subscriber base. For used car market, even though vehicle sales growth is comparatively slower, its big size and Sirius XM’s constantly increasing penetration rate should have bolstered subscriber growth here as well. On the bottomline front, we expect continued improvement in Sirius XM’s margins on account of operating leverage gain that results from top-line growth. During the third quarter of 2015, the company’s EBITDA (earnings before interest tax depreciation and amortization) had increased 17% year over year (six percentage points faster than revenues) to a record high of $447 million.

Yahoo Earnings Preview: With One Eye On Results, Investors Seek a Way Forward

Yahoo! is set to report its fourth-quarter results on Tuesday, January 26th.  The stock continues to under-perform the market, having declined by over 12% over last three months. In contrast, the NASDAQ composite index is down a less painful 8%. The primary reason for this under-performance has been Yahoo’s stalled plans to spin off its Alibaba stake to shareholders, which it fears it cannot do on a tax free basis. Accordingly attention has turned to the core business, which has failed to generate sufficient revenue from its online ads business. As a result, the market is rife with rumors that the company plans to sell its internet business, as activist investors wish.  We believe that the company will continue to report little or no improvement in revenue growth due to a secular decline in its desktop business and inability to monetize its mobile platform. Therefore, in this earnings announcement, we will closely monitor the search and display ads divisions for growth in revenues from the mobile segment as the company continues to push for more services in this domain. In sum, we (as most observers) look to management to articulate strategics moves out of the present conundrum.

Super Bowl-Themed Digital Extravaganza Focuses On Talent And Technology

It’s the people, always the people. As someone who has lives at the intersection of brands, digital media, talent and human resources, I am always keeping an eye out for those that are challenging the status quo. I have found that sometimes you have to break the rules to change the game, and when I see this happen I can’t help but take note.

Leaked iPad Air 3 drawing reveals quad speakers, Smart Connector, LED flash

As previous rumors have hinted, in designing the upcoming iPad Air 3 Apple has taken a lot of inspiration from the unique features it introduced with the bigger iPad Pro. And today a new leaked drawing which purportedly shows the iPad Air 3’s dimensions and various cutouts seems to confirm just that. While anyone can create such a rendering, this is said to originate at a reliable source for what it’s worth.

The iPad Air 3 is thus going to feature a quad speaker setup akin to the iPad Pro. Furthermore, it will borrow its bigger sibling’s Smart Connector, so we assume there will be a Smart Keyboard accessory for it available at launch too. The main camera will get a LED flash for whatever reason.

The cost of all these new features will be seen in the dimensions of the device. It will be slightly thicker and wider than its predecessor, with the full measurements coming in at 240 x 169.6 x 6.15 mm. However, the differences are .1 and .05 mm, respectively, so you’re unlikely to notice them in real-world use.

The iPad Air 3 will supposedly launch in mid-March alongside the new affordable 4-inch smartphone from Apple (which may end up being called iPhone…
