El gigante chino Huawei fue uno de los fabricantes que llevaron a cabo un evento en el recién concluido Mobile World Congress en donde se esperaba la presentación del Huawei P9, su nuevo tope de gama. Sin embargo, la historia no se desarrolló de esta manera y simplemente presentó el Huawei Matebook, su apuesta por los dispositivos convertibles con Windows 10.
Sin embargo, para los interesados en este rumoreado terminal que será el nuevo portador de la corona de Huawei, tenemos nueva información en forma de una fotografía filtrada. El protagonista de la fotografía es un prototipo del Huawei P9 que revela detalles de su cámara fotográfica, sin duda uno de los apartados que más atención recibirá.
La fotografía sobre estas líneas, cortesía de Steve Hemmerstoffer y el sitio NoWhereElse, revela que el Huawei P9 se sube al tren de la doble cámara trasera, justo como el recién presentado LG G5. Además, también tenemos un vistazo al flash LED, a lo que parece ser un sensor infrarrojo de auto-enfoque, componente que se está poniendo muy de moda, y el lector de huellas dactilares.
Lamentablemente, la información que podemos rescatar de la fotografía es prácticamente nula, ya que el terminal está protegido por una funda que impide acceder a detalles sobre el diseño o los materiales de fabricación. A pesar de esto, podemos esperar un terminal fabricado en metal, justo como otras apuestas del fabricante asiático.

Dejando un poco de lado la cámara, se espera que el Huawei P9 se espera que llegue con una pantalla de 5.2 pulgadas con resolución QuadHd (2.560 x 1.440 pixeles), procesador Kirin 950 de fabricación propia de Huawei, chip gráfico Mali-T880, 4 GB de memoria RAM, y 64 GB de almacenamiento interno. Lo suficiente para plantar cara a cualquier otro terminal que quiera aventurarse a conquistar China, territorio actualmente gobernado por este fabricante.

The notebook market is one that has always been extremely competitive with some vendors eliminated from the market and others absorbed by competitors. This has led to some serious consolidation in the market, particularly in the high-end where it is increasingly difficult for notebook makers to make a compelling high-end notebook. The 15” premium consumer notebook space has effectively become a three horse race between Apple, Dell and HP. Apple currently leads the market in unit and revenue share in premium notebooks with their line of MacBooks and Apple has led the charge in many new form factors. Dell has done an especially good job with their XPS line of premium notebooks even though HP is hot on their heels. Their biggest member of the XPS family is the Dell XPS 15 (9550) which they recently refreshed this winter and I have been using for the past two months. The Dell XPS 15 is the best 15” consumer premium notebook I have ever experienced so far.
