OnePlus 2 gets price cut down to $349

The OnePlus 2 has only been available without an invitation for a short stretch, but now OnePlus has gone ahead and lowered the price of entry for anyone who hasn’t already taken the plunge.

OnePlus has confirmed that it has cut the price of the OnePlus 2 by $40, which means you can pick up a new model for only $349. What’s more, the permanent change in price isn’t just for those in the U.S., as it applies to those in the UK, too, with the OnePlus 2 priced at £249. Buyers in other European parts will pay €345.

OnePlus is making good on the price cut for anyone that has bought a OnePlus 2 in the last 15 days, too. If you’ve purchased one in that time frame, you’ll be seeing a refund of $40 show up soon.

Being the perceived leader in a market is great, but the results are even better: a leader can drive revenue growth. Many large technology firms such as Intel, IBM, Microsoft, Google and Cisco Systems have all been vying for top positions when it comes to IoT thought leadership. So how does one rise out of the pack?

Amazon Kindle discounts: 7″ Fire for $40, Paperwhite for $100

Amazon has aggressively slashed prices of its Kindle products. The cheap 7″ Kindle Fire drops $10 to just $40. If you buy popcorn at the movie theater, you’ll probably spend more.

Other promotions include $50 off the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 (now $430), $50 off the Kindle Fire HD 10 (now $180) and $20 off the Kindle for Kids tablet (now $80). These price cuts will end on February 14, except the HDX 8.9 one, which runs until April 1.

Amazon’s Kindle e-readers are discounted too – $20 off the Kindle Paperwhite (now $100), $30 off the 3G-enabled version (previous generation, though, 6th), $20 off the basic Kindle (now $60). These also end February 14, except for the Paperwhite 3G.

There is a number of Essentials Bundles that are also discounted, including $25 off the Kindle Voyage Essentials Bundle (now $255, ends April 1).

These promos are US-only and I couldn’t find anything similar in Europe (par for the course, really).
