No hace muchos días hablábamos de la posibilidad de que Google pudiera estar trabajando en una Cardboard++ junto al equipo de Project Tango, un proyecto que si se convirtiera en una realidad podría ser de lo más ambicioso. Aunque el tema de hoy sigue otros cauces, también tiene como protagonista estas gafas de realidad virtual para nuestro smartphone tan económicas.
Lo cierto e que Google quiere expandir su mercado en cuanto a la realidad virtual, pues ha visto el filón y el momento propicio para desarrollar esta tecnología. Por el momento, lo que sabemos es que el grupo de Mountain View tiene planeado lanzar un nuevo accesorio que sustituya a las actuales, ¿pero que novedades traerán al respecto?
No podemos decir que este nuevo accesorio vaya a poseer el mismo nombre, pero hasta el momento no sabemos más sobre ello. Lo que si se conoce es que el nuevo dispositivo de realidad virtual posee una carcasa sólida de plástico, tiene unos mejores sensores que la antigua Cardboard y corre sobre la plataforma de Android VR. Lo que parece que pretenden al lanzar estas gafas es hacerle una mejor competencia a las famosas Samsung Gear, que se pueden adquirir por unos 99$.
Desde Android Community nos explican que el nuevo dispositivo de realidad virtual aceptará una gama más amplia de terminales, intentando captar de esta forma a más de los 5 millones de unidades vendidas con la primera Cardboard, 25 millones de instalaciones de la aplicación oficial y varias docenas de apps exclusivas para disfrutar con este accesorio.
Se espera además que muchas más de estas herramientas para la nueva Cardboard aparezcan en la Google Play Store a lo largo del año, las cuales en principio, o por lo menos muchas de ellas, se seguirán pudiendo utilizar en sus predecesoras. Si echamos la mirada atrás, sólo nos queda recordar que Sundair Pichai, CEO de Google, dijo que la primera versión de este dispositivo de VR no era más que el principio.
Deberemos quedar a la espera para conocer más noticias sobre las mismas, quizás durante el Mobile World Congress de Barcelona sepamos algún dato más. ¿Qué esperaríais poder hacer con las nuevas gafas de Realidad Virtual de Google?

Last week, when I wrote about my concerns regarding tomorrow’s Crimson Days event in Destiny, I briefly touched on a point about infusion, the current cornerstone of Destiny’s economy and leveling system. Crimson Doubles, the PvP component of Crimson Days (and really its only component) is mostly about getting Ghost Shells as rewards, which can drop as high as 320 light. For many long-time players a Ghost Shell is the last piece of the puzzle missing on the way to max level, and now an activity has been specifically designed around fixing that problem.

One of the common rumors swirling around Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S7 focuses on the camera and the belief that Samsung managed to slim down the rear camera’s bump. Turns out that may actually be the case.
In a new leak that reportedly shows off the Galaxy S7 out in the real world, the one major takeaway is that Samsung has indeed slimmed down the camera bump quite a bit, especially compared to the Galaxy S6′s protrusion. There appears to still be a slight bump, but it looks practically negligible.
The source of the leaked image also confirms the Galaxy S7 will boast a 12-megapixel camera and that the device does indeed feature a water resistant design. The report also points to a March 18th release date for the Galaxy S7 in the Vietnamese market.
Samsung will be hosting its Unpacked event on Sunday, February 21, where it is expected to unveil the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge.
