Samsung’s Galaxy S7 edge will have a 3600mAh battery
Battery life is a huge point of contention between customers and smartphone manufacturers. Consumers have cried out, declaring that battery life needs to be improved, while manufacturers are still pursuing the goal of making slimmer and slimmer devices. The result has been a mixed bag, with manufacturers opting for new charging tech rather than increasing battery size.
Fast charging has become far more prevalent and plenty of manufacturers are continuing to offer different power saving options. But even though we charge devices faster and eek a bit more battery life out, the issue remains that most phones can barely make it through a full day on a single charge. As of now, the only real solution looks to be making batteries larger.
According to a new FCC filing, Samsung looks to be doing just that with the upcoming Galaxy S7 edge. The FCC filing for the device points out that it will be fitted with a whopping 3600mAh battery, which is significantly larger than last year’s 3000mAh unit. You can compare this new battery to the battery king, the DROID Turbo 2, which utilizes a 3750mAh battery. Unless the device demands extravagant amounts of power, the Galaxy S7 edge could rise to offer some of the best battery life available in a smartphone.

El Sony Xperia M5 aterriza en España por 399 euros
Se esperaba como el agua de mayo, pero le ha costado muchísimos meses tras su presentación acabar por llegar a España. Estamos hablando del Sony Xperia M5, el terminal de gama media al que le ha costado llegar a la península, pero que por fin lo ha hecho. Se trata de un gama media con el que ya podréis jubilar al antiguo Xperia M4 Aqua.
Como nos informan desde El Androide Libre, se puede adquirir por un precio de 399 euros y una variedad distintas de colores: blanco dorado y negro. Uno de sus problemas va a ser si con este retraso y la cantidad que cuesta, un poco mayor a lo que estamos acostumbrados a ver por este tipo de smarpthones, será capaz de competir contra los otros gamas media que sí han salido en su día adecuado en nuestro país.
La calidad de su cámara y un diseño resistente al agua, sus grandes puntos a favor
Si nos tenemos que preguntar por dónde puede venir su precio de lanzamiento en España, una de las cosas en las que nos debemos fijar es en la gran calidad de su cámara principal. Es de 21 megapíxeles y posee un autofocus híbrido de 0,25 segundos, es decir, que puede captar de forma casi instantánea una imagen con muchísima precisión. Otra de sus bendiciones es la posibilidad de grabar vídeos en 4K, algo que prácticamente sólo se puede conseguir con una buena cámara compacta.
No sólo la cámara trasera posee unas buenas características, ya que la frontal es de 13 megapíxeles y permite grabar vídeos en Full HD, algo que deja muy lejos a los objetivos frontales de otros muchos gamas media conocidos.
Si nos centramos en el diseño, es importante saber que trae un acabado de aluminio tanto en la parte trasera como en la frontal, pero lo mejor de todo es el material que posee en las esquinas del terminal, pues son de acero inoxidable, evitando de esta manera una mayor probabilidad de romperse en el caso de caídas o golpes.

Microsoft Lumia 650 will cost 199.99 in Ireland, its specs get confirmed again
After many, many months of leaks about it, Microsoft is finally about to make the Lumia 650 official around the middle of this month (with in-store availability following closely). Before that happens, however, we’ve got another bit of leaked info regarding the mid-ranger.
This time around the news comes from Ireland, where the device will allegedly be sold for 199.99 sans contract. That pretty much fits with previous pricing information we’ve seen, be it from the Czech Republic or the UK.
Aside from this tidbit, we also get to peek at the alleged store card you can see above, which neatly lists the Lumia 650’s main features – thus confirming them yet again.
So, the handset should have a 4.97″ touchscreen, an 8 MP rear camera, a 5 MP selfie snapper, a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, 16GB of built-in storage, HD voice support, and Glance Screen. It will obviously run Windows 10 Mobile. The metal construction gets a mention…
