Apple’s iPhone team has had a rough week in the spotlight. Error 53 may be rooted in Tim Cook’s approach to security, but it was pitched as a software error that ‘bricked’ devices when the secure elements of an iOS-powered device were disrupted. The recently promoted issue of a date crashing and bricking an iPhone is a rather esoteric flaw in the code, but has still led to more headlines about irretrievably crashing iPhones. Why can’t iOS fail gracefully?

27% of all manufacturers say keeping up with ever-changing customer demands is their biggest supply chain challenge.
11% of all manufacturers predict adopting Internet of Things (IoT) technologies in 2016 will accelerate supply chain operations.

DARPA Drone Can Fly Itself, Hit 45 MPH Inside A Warehouse
The sole purpose of DARPA’s Fast Lightweight Autonomy program is to create a drone that can, well, fly really fast on its own. Based on this recent video, it seems like they’ve figured out how to make it go fast, as well as navigate a crowded warehouse, but haven’t quite figured out how to combine the two.
