The two updates are both rolling out again to their respective devices, and NVIDIA is confident the issue has been resolved. Check for updates in the settings app to pull it now! Or wait a few days, let someone else test it for you first. Who knows, you might avoid more issues.
PayPal has unveiled a big redesign for its mobile apps today. You can already find the updated versions in the iTunes App Store for iOS and the Google Play Store for Android.
The new apps come with simplified UIs and no more clutter, according to the company. It claims that customer feedback drove much of the redesign process.
Features have been simplified, and either app comes with a better global user experience, as the “iterative platform” they’re both based on allows for easier customization.
Sending and requesting money is now front and center inside the mobile apps, since apparently PayPal has seen over 100% growth in the number of peer-to-peer transactions happening over the last two years. A new personalized hub lets you easily add people from your contacts, while the new home screen lists all of your transaction details. That’s also where you can quickly pay your pending requests or send payments to any of your recent contacts.
Finally, account activity has been separated by pending and completed transactions, and fingerprint authentication on Android should now work with many more devices.

Nuestro smartphone ya puede tener las características que haga falta, como escáner de retina, la mejor cámara del mundo o pantalla 4K, que si su batería no está a la altura, este móvil no vale para nada. La batería es uno de los aspectos más considerados hoy en día, pero aún así no parece que haya grandes avances sobre sus autonomías.

No, no se trata de ninguna inocentada o algo por el estilo, de hecho, desde Consumer Reports aseguran la veracidad de sus datos que ellos mismos han comprobado. Sin más dilación, esta es la lista que publicaron hace dos días en su página web:
En ella, vemos ordenados por posiciones hasta 5 móviles con 5 categorías cada uno: máximo de horas hablando, capacidad para extraer su batería, carga rápida, carga inalámbrica y capacidad en mAh de la batería en cuestión. Como podemos observar, el móvil que ocupa la primera posición es el Motorola Droid Turbo, un terminal que salió a la venta en octubre de 2014.
Según sus análisis pues, el móvil con más autonomía hoy en día es el Motorola Droid Turbo, seguido de la variante del S6, el Samsung Galaxy S6 Active. A continuación, le sucede otro Samsung, el Galaxy Note 4, y las dos últimas plazas son para el Motorola Droid Turbo 2 y el Galaxy S5, en ese orden.
No sé en qué se han basado para ordenar estos dispositivos, pero tan solo dos de ellos son del 2015, el S6 Active y el Motorola Droid Turbo 2, pero ambos terminales tampoco destacaron especialmente durante ese año. El caso del S6 es más comprensible, el tope de gama de Samsung por fuerza tenía que estar en esa lista,
Por otro lado, me sorprende que el Note 4 este presente en la lista, sobretodo habiendo una versión superior de este Galaxy, el Note 5. Cabe recordar que el Note 4 incorpora una batería de 3220 mAh, mientras que la del Note 5 se rebajó a 3000 mAh. Si la lista es cierta, el Note 5, un móvil del Agosto pasado, ¿no supera en autonomía a su hermano menor de octubre de 2014, simplemente por 220 mAh? Sorprendente.
Otro terminal que vale la pena destacar es por supuesto el Galaxy S5, el tope de gama de Samsung pero de hace ya dos años, que salió al mercado en abril de 2014 con una batería de 2800 mAh. Por increíble que parezca, este es quinto terminal con mejor batería del mundo, por encima de dispositivos como el Xperia Z5 Premium, el Nexus 6P o yo qué sé, el OnePlus 2.
Precisamente, con esto quería terminar. Durante el pasado 2015 Samsung no fue la única firma en presentar sus buques insignia: Sony, LG, Google, Huawei, Xiaomi, Lenovo o ZTE también aportaron grandes terminales con grandes baterías, algunas con más capacidad que el móvil que ocupa el primer puesto en la lista.
Aún así, como más mAh tenga una batería no tiene por qué ser más buena que otra con menos miliamperios, es decir, hay muchos aspectos que condicionan la duración y calidad de una batería en Android, como por ejemplo, el software o hardware de ese dispositivo. A pesar de ello, no puede ser que terminales con mAh de alrededor de unos 3000 mAh del año pasado superen a los actuales “topes de gama” de las grandes firmas o incluso a los gigantes asiáticos con baterías gigantes de hasta 6K mAh.
Many iPhone users were affected by “Error 53” after the Touch ID / Home button on their handsets were repaired by non-official technicians. And some users experienced “Error 53” only after installing iOS 9 even though their devices may have been working for months since the repair was made. Not only did those iPhones become “bricked,” but the photos and data on those devices were not recoverable. Apparently, Error 53 was supposed to be a factory test that was not intended to affect customers. The error message typically said: “The iPhone ‘’ could not be updated. An unknown error occurred (53).”

Just a few days ago word got out that HP is working on a top of the line Windows 10 handset to be called Elite x3. This device was apparently codenamed Falcon, and it may have been benchmarked in December of last year.
Anyway, HP is probably going to announce the Elite x3 at MWC next week. Before that happens, however, you can feast your eyes upon a couple of leaked pictures of the device, along with the full list of its specs.
The Elite x3 is surely looking to be the main competitor to Microsoft’s Lumia 950 XL in the Windows 10 mobile ecosystem, as it packs some very high-end innards.
It has a 5.96-inch QHD touchscreen, a 16 MP rear camera, an 8 MP selfie cam, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset powering it, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, a USB Type-C port with support for USB 3.0, Qi wireless charging, a fingerprint scanner (which might be embedded in that ‘chin’ underneath the display), an iris sensor, a special docking connection, IP67 certification for water and dust resistance, as well as MIL-STD-810G rating for withstanding drops from 1 meter or less.
The device is 7.8 mm thin, and will probably support Microsoft’s Continuum feature. It will obviously run Windows 10 Mobile. With such specs, you shouldn’t expect it to be cheap.
Gaming continues to be a growing sector of the mobile industry, with the amount of mobile games available increasing each and every day. A couple of years ago, Google delved into the gaming sector with Google Play Games, the company’s way to create an easy way for users to interact and compete with their friends in mobile games.
The company has continued to grow and improve Google Play Games as time has gone on. Today, Google Play Games is adding support for custom Gamer IDs and avatars, unlinking profiles from Google+, as was required in the past. This enables to create their own unique username and bio, rather than simply importing their (likely bland) profile info from Google+. Users can also choose from over 40 avatars to find one that best expresses them.
In addition to the updated profile experience, Google is improving the sign-in experience. Rather than being prompted to sign in for each game, users will now be prompted to sign in only once for each account, with automatic sign-in for most future games.
The update is rolling out now, so expect to see it within the next few days.
