Llegó el día. LG ha presentado oficialmente su LG G5, del que te hemos contado sus caráterísticas en Andro4all. Se trata sin duda de uno de los candidatos al mejor móvil Android de 2016. Especificaciones tope de gama, acabado premium y una serie de novedades que nos han sorprendido.

Cómo puedes apreciar en la imagen, el Magic Slot es una expansión mediante la cual podrás incorporar funciones extras a tu LG G5. En la presentación hemos podido ver cómo a la batería de 2800 mAh que monta el LG G5 se le puede añadir un módulo con 1200 mAh extra. Es decir, podemos conseguir que el LG G5 tenga 4000 mAh de batería utilizando esta función.

Otra de las funciones que nos han enseñado ha sido un amplificador de sonido en alta definición DAC. Esto hará las delicias de todos los apasionados de la música y el sonido. LG siempre ha jugado bien sus cartas en el apartado del audio, y con esta nueva inclusión el LG G5 puede posicionarse como el mejor exponente en audio de Android de la actualidad.

Como verás el funcionamiento es muy sencillo. La ranura de extrae y se intercambia con gran facilidad, así que cualquier usuario que lo desee podrá recurrir a ella para darle a su LG G5 las características que desee.

Aunque hubiésemos preferido que el LG G5 llegase al mercado con algo más de batería integrada, no cabe duda de que el Magic Slot supone un antes y un después en la historia de LG. Watch Samsung Unpacked 2016 right here

Excitement has been high all throughout the day, as both LG and Huawei already heated things up with their respective MWC events. However, we can’t forget about Samsung. Unpacked events typically go down in the news not only for the unveiled devices but also for their sheer scale and grandeur.

This year, the Galaxy S7 definitely has the whole mobile industry on its toes, and if that wasn’t enough, in a world first, users will be able to enjoy the Unpacked event in a 360-degree view. Huawei announces MateBook 2-in-1 tablet with Intel Core M

Huawei has just revealed its 2-in-1 device, the MateBook. It’s built around a metal frame and has a metal back, which make it feel premium.

In fact, the Huawei MateBook packs a 12″ LCD display of 2160×1440 pixel resolution, resulting in a pixel density of 216ppi. The company is proud of its slim bezel design and boasts the MateBook’s 84% screen-to-body ratio.

The MateBook measures 6.9mm thin and weighs 630 grams. Under the hood, Huawei offers only Intel’s 6th-gen Core M processors with no Core I5 or Core I7 chips in sight. The tablet runs Windows 10.

The tablet is splash-proof, it packs dual speakers with Dolby Audio and the 4430mAh battery is touted to last through 9 hours of office work or video playback.

However, the Huawei MateBook starts at $699/€799 and for the price you get a keyboard cover bundled with the slate. It is made of “environmentally friendly” leather (read: most probably not genuine) and the keys are backlit.

Huawei also offers a bunch of accessories including the MatePen and the MateDock. The MatePen is a stylus, which has a couple of hardware buttons as well as a laser pointer. It will retail for $59 in the US and €69 in Europe.

As for the MateDock, its price is $89/€99 and offers USB-A, USB-C, micro USB, Ethernet, and a battery pack. You can specify up to 8GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. The most expensive MateBook with Intel Core m7, 8GB of RAM and 512GB SSD will cost $1599/€1699.

LG presenta el LG G5, el primer smartphone modular con CAM Plus, Hi-Fi Plus, 360 VR y 360 CAM

Ya estamos ante el gran día para LG y en el evento presentación del G5, el fabricante coreano nos está mostrando las virtudes y bondades de lo que es uno de los teléfonos más importantes de este año 2016. Un año bien especial por la gran dificultad que se está encontrando para las compañías el poder destacar un smartphone que se presente como lo mejor del momento. Decenas de compañías lanzando el mejor hardware, gran diseño y a un precio equilibrando están consiguiendo tambalear el mercado. Muchas de estas las tendremos en los días siguientes como pasa con Xiaomi que se ha colocado como la que capitanea los smartphones que tienen una gran relación calidad-precio.

En el momento que ha sido presentado el LG G5 en el MWC, nos hemos quedado sorprendidos por su capacidad modular al poder cambiar en un segundo la batería por otra completa, tal como hacíamos hace unos años con muchos terminales. Pero la sorpresa no ha quedado aquí cuando ese módulo de batería puede cambiarse por uno especial para la cámara con LG Cam Plus o para el sonido con LG Hi-Fi Plus. Un especial teléfono el que está siendo presentado en todo lujo de destalles como esa pantalla de 5,3 pulgadas, chip Snapdragon 820, USB tipo-C o un combo en la cámara trasera con capacidades gran angular.

LG G5, toda una gran sorpresa

Juno Cho, presidente y CEO de LG, ha mostrado ante todos el nuevo LG G5 en el que se ha centrado en su especial diseño, su grosor fino y una especial característica como es la batería removible para que el usuario pueda tener una carga completa, tal como se hacía unos años con la mayoría de teléfonos Android. LG con este movimiento quiere que cualquier usuario tenga una batería extra para que en cualquier momento pueda tener de nuevo con la autonomía al completo para poder disfrutar de todos sus quehaceres diarios como son esas redes sociales, fotografía o videojuegos.

El diseño en cuerpo completo en metal es otra de las mayores características en la que LG se ha centrado en los primeros minutos de la presentación con esa especial barra en la parte trasera donde tiene colocada la lente de cámara y el flash que acompaña. Un LG con un grosor bien fino que le permite ofrecer unas calidades en lo visual de especial forma.

La otra gran característica en esos minutos iniciales es la pantalla “always on” en la que han querido recalcar la gran autonomía del terminal que, si sumamos a la batería extraíble de forma muy fácil, conseguirá que podamos acercarnos a una serie de ventajas a las que no estamos acostumbrados en otros teléfonos.

Las demás particularidades de este teléfono pasan por unas cámaras de 16 MP y 8MP en la trasera con gran angular y frontal de 9MP. Es aquí donde también han tenido unos minutos para explicar las ventajas de esas dos lentes que forman un combo muy especial

Al poder quitar la batería de forma instantánea, el G5 tiene otra gran característica para lo modular al poder equiparle de inmediato con unas excelentes características para la cámara con LG Cam Plus, o lo que es una especial funcionalidad con un innovador sistema de audio de alta fidelidad diseñado conjuntamente con Bang & Olufsen Play.

El primer smartphone modular de LG que te permitirá transformarle para según que cometidos y que se convierte de por si en la gran característica de este teléfono ante otros que serán presentados en el día de hoy como sucederá con el Galaxy S7.

LG G5 with modular design, dual camera on back unveiled

Meet the LG G5 – the first mainstream modular phone! There have been attempts in the past, the most recent being Google’s Project Ara, but none has found mainstream success.

Sleek body, functional addons

The G5 has a “fluid metal” body and beveled glass on the front; not even antenna slits spoil its perfect lines. There is a single seam, which separates the bottom part.

That’s the modular component – it can be removed to access the battery and card slots, and one of several add-ons can be inserted (this requires a reboot though).

The first add-on is a camera grip, the LG Cam Plus. It adds 1,100mAh battery and hardware controls – a hardware shutter key, a video button, zoom dial. Then there’s a Bang & Olufsen DAC for even better audio quality. LG will open the standard for third-party manufacturers to create even more add-ons.

One of a kind screen, unique dual camera

Back to the LG G5, it has a 5.3″ LCD with an always-on mode. It features a dedicated memory and a power-sipping secondary chip so that the main chipset can go to sleep while the screen remains on 24/7. The bespoke chip sips just 0.8% of battery per hour.

The dual selfie camera idea from the V10 has migrated to the G5 too, but as a main camera. One camera has 75° Field of View (FoV) and 16MP sensor, the second camera is much wider, 135° and 8MP sensor. Images from both cameras can be merged with various effects and a real-time preview.

Finally, the “regular” specs. The LG G5 is powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset wtih 4GB of RAM. It has 32GB storage on board and a microSD slot. It’s 7.5mm-8mm thick and packs a small-ish 2,800mAh battery. Below the dual-camera is the fingerprint sensor.
