Las actualizaciones siguen su curso, y en esta ocasión toca hablar de nuevo de Sony, una de las compañías que más protagonismo tiene alrededor de este tema. La noticia ahora es que el Sony Xperia M4 Aqua no se actualizará a Android 5.1, pero por una buena causa, y es que pasará directamente a Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Así lo ha confirmado la compañía en respuesta a una pregunta de un usuario en Twitter.
Por tanto, no cabe duda de que son buenas noticias para los propietarios del terminal, y es que al fin y al cabo serán de los pocos afortunados cuyo teléfono actual va a recibir Marshmallow.

Pese a que la actualización del Sony Xperia M4 Aqua a Android 6.0 ya está confirmada, lo que no lo está todavía es su fecha de despliegue. Como suele ser habitual, la firma japonesa no ha dado un momento concreto o aproximado de cuándo sucederá esto, seguramente por evitarse problemas en el futuro por no cumplir con los plazos, como ya le ha pasado en otras ocasiones, y también les ha ocurrido a muchas otras compañías.

Por tanto, no nos queda más que esperar a recibir nuevas noticias, aunque ya os podemos confirmar que la actualización no se llevará a cabo en un espacio corto de tiempo, ya que como es lógico, Sony tiene otras prioridades antes que el Xperia M4 Aqua.

Os recordamos que según los últimos datos de distribución de Android, Marshmallow todavía no está presente ni en el 2% de los dispositivos, quedándose en tan solo un 1,2%. Por tanto, como siempre, la actualización está siendo un proceso lento, así que toca armarse de paciencia, o comprar uno de los nuevos dispositivos que se presentarán en el Mobile World Congress de Barcelona, muchos de los cuales ya vendrán con Android 6.0 bajo el brazo.

With the Amazon Echo getting ready to star in a Super Bowl commercial this weekend, it’s not shocking to see it brushing up its résumé and making sure that it is ready to put its best foot forward on a national stage.
Earlier in the week, the Echo picked up the ability to order you a pizza from Domino’s, and now once the pizza arrives and a halftime show that you aren’t thrilled about starts, you will be able to crank your favorite Spotify music on the Echo to keep the party rolling.
Unfortunately, this functionality is only available to Spotify Premium subscribers, so you will need to pony up $9.99 a month in order to take advantage of this on your Echo. If you haven’t tried Spotify Premium previously, you can give it a spin for 30 days before getting hit with a bill.
I’m going to go ahead and recommend that you not hold your breath for Play Music support to arrive on the Echo, which is particularly disappointing to me now that podcasts are available there, as the limited podcast support on the Echo is one of my few complaints with the device.
With all the new functionality and attention that Amazon is going to be drawing to the Echo this month, it would seem like a logical time to take the wraps off that rumored portable version.

Pebble updated both the firmware for its smartwatches and its smartphone apps. The biggest additions are that watch faces can now display Health data (steps counter and sleep tracker) and you can quickly send a text back to someone.
Also, Pebble Health is more accurate with the updated firmware. And it can show distance in kilometers (vive la metric system). The watch now supports Cyrillic for notifications and alerts too, making it even more useful for its non-American users.
Another new feature is the option to reply with a canned text message whenever someone calls. You can also start a conversation by sending a voice note or emoji to recent and favorite contacts.
An additional feature of the firmware is improved Watch-only mode. It disconnects Bluetooth and stops activity tracking to keep showing the time (with backlight and alarms with soft vibration) as long as possible.
Performance has been improved too, with smoother animations for the Pebble Time, Time Steel and Time Round.

Si ayer mismo mi compañero y amigo Manuel Ramirez os mostró la manera correcta de descargar e instalar el nuevo Launcher Xperia Android M en cualquier terminal de la gama Xperia de Sony, Hoy soy yo el que os trae este nuevo post en donde os muestro el sencillo método de instalación del Launcher Xperia Android M, en terminales ajenos a la familia Xperia de Sony y lo más importante de todo, sin necesidad de ser usuario Root ni seguir complicados tutoriales de flasheo ni nada por el estilo.
Antes de continuar con este post en el que os voy a enseñar a instalar el nuevo Launcher Xperia Android M en cualquier modelo de terminal Android, es de recibo decir y mencionar que todo esto es posible gracias al constante desarrollo del mejor foro de tecnología móvil como lo es el foro de XDA Developers.
El único requisito a cumplir es el tener un terminal Android que esté rodando una versión mínima de Android 5.0 o versiones superiores del sistema operativo de Google, vamos que como poco tenemos que tener una versión de Android Lollipop.
Después tan solo tendremos que dirigirnos a los ajustes de nuestro terminal Android, en el que queramos instalar el nuevo Launcher Xperia Android M, y desde la opción de Seguridad, habilitar la opción que dice permitir la instalación de aplicaciones de orígenes desconocidos.
Con esto ya estaremos en disposición de descargar el apk con el que vamos a poder disfrutar de toda la apariencia que nos ofrecen los nuevos terminales de la familia Xperia de Sony con su nuevo Launcher Xperia Android M.
Desde este mismo enlace podrás descargar el apk propio del Launcher Xperia Android M o más conocido como Concept Launcher. Un único archivo para cualquier modelo de terminal sea cual sea su fabricante. Si lo que quieres es instalarlo en un terminal de la familia Xperia, entonces te aconsejo que primero desinstales la versión anterior del Launcher Xperia y después te pases por este post donde se te explica como instalarlo en los modelos Xperia de Sony.
Una vez descargado ese único archivo en formato apk, con tan solo clicar en la propia notificación de descarga finalizada con éxito ya se nos abrirá el instalador de aplicaciones de nuestro Android y comenzará la instalación de la misma. Para habilitar el Launcher como predeterminado, tan solo bastará con clicar en el botón Home de nuestro Android y seleccionarlo de la lista que se nos muestra y seleccionar la opción que dice Siempre.
