Nueva versión de siduction OS dedicada a Ian Murdock
La nueva versión de siduction OS, un sistema operativo basado en Debian, se ha creado en homenaje al recientemente fallecido Ian Murdock, creador de Debian
El equipo a cargo de la distribución basada en Debian llamada siduction, ha sacado una nueva versión estable. Ésta versión está dedicada al recientemente fallecido Ian Murdock, creador de Debian, que como ya dijimos aquí, falleció el 28 de Diciembre de manera totalmente inesperada.
Ésta versión es una actualización sacada muy deprisa y corriendo y sin demasiadas novedades. Principalmente su creación ha sido para honrar la memoria de Ian Murdock y rendirle a su modo un pequeño homenaje.
En cuanto a las características de la distribución, siduction OS es una distribución Linux basada en Debian, la cual se caracteriza por la variedades de escritorios y versiones dentro de la misma. Hay una versión con Lxde, otra con Mate, otra con KDE... Si seguimos nombrando escritorios tenemos Gnome,Cinnamon,LXQt y Lxde.
La nueva versión del sistema será conocida como siduction OS 2015.1, la cual empezará estando disponible para Xfce, Lxde ,Cinnamon y Mate. Los otros escritorios disponibles serán añadidos a medida que sean optimizados para la nueva versión del sistema.
En cuanto a las novedades, no se puede añadir mucho más ya que como ya he dicho solo es una pequeña versión. Si quieres saber más, lo tienes en la página oficial de siduction en la sección de noticias.
La medida me parece muy bonita, ya que Ian Murdock era uno de los padres de la comunidad Linux al haber estado detrás del proyecto Debian tanto tiempo, el cual es uno de los sistemas operativos más importantes y en el que se han basado como por ejemplo Ubuntu.
Esperemos que éste homenaje póstumo sea lo suficientemente bueno para Ian Murdock, un hombre que ha trabajado toda su vida en Linux y sin el muchas cosas geniales de hoy en día nunca hubieran sido posibles.
