Linux Deepin 15 ya está disponible para todos

Linux Deepin 15Aprovechando hasta el último día del año, el equipo de Linux Deepin ha lanzado la última versión estable de la distribución: Linux Deepin 15. Este versión no realiza cambios drásticos respecto a sus Release Candidate, sólo añade soporte a más de 30 idiomas, algo interesante ya que hará que más personas puedan disfrutar de una de las distribuciones más bonitas que existe en el mercado.

Linux Deepin 15 se basa en Debian y en esta ocasión contarán con la ayuda de Intel y del proyecto CrossWalk de Intel que hará que muchas aplicaciones puedan transformarse en aplicaciones web y estén disponibles para los usuarios.

Al igual que con versiones anteriores, Linux Deepin 15 cuenta con lo último en software, el último kernel estable de Debian y un renovado dock que permitirá al usuario interactuar con el sistema a través de él ya que el sistema, el dock y el panel de notificaciones se integran más. El aspecto visual también ha mejorado, se ha incluido nuevos fondos de escritorio así como un nuevo tema visual en blanco que creará un ambiente más simple.

A diferencia de otras distribuciones, Linux Deepin 15 no tendrá LibreOffice o Apache OpenOffice como suite ofimática sino que tendrá WPS Office, una suite ofimática que está teniendo especial importancia en la zona oriental por su compatibilidad con archivos de Microsoft.

Si ya usáis Linux Deepin, sólo tenéis que ir a Centro de Control –> Información del sistema y allí podréis actualizar el sistema operativo. Si por el contrario queréis probarlo por primera vez, en este enlace podréis obtener la imagen de instalación para instalarlo en el equipo que queráis o en una máquina virtual, lo que prefiráis.

Personalmente me sorprende la popularidad que ha tomado esta distribución dentro de las distribuciones Gnu/Linux pero parece que lo bonito visualmente triunfa más que lo técnico o lo eficaz aunque a Linux Deepin 15 tampoco le falta ninguna de estas cosas ¿ vosotros qué creéis?

Asus Pegasus X005 is revealed through Chinese certification

Asus is almost ready to launch a new member in its Pegasus line of affordable smartphones, the X005. Before the official unveiling happens, the device has been certified for sale in China by TENAA, the country’s relevant regulatory authority.

As usual, this process has resulted both in images of the phone becoming available, as well as a pretty extensive list of its specs being outed.

While in terms of naming the Pegasus X005 seems to be a successor for the Pegasus X002, when it comes to its internals it basically seems to be a slightly stripped down version of the Pegasus 2 Plus X550. On the other hand, the design of the new phone is clearly different from both previous Pegasus-named handsets.

The Asus Pegasus X005 has a 5.5-inch 1080p touchscreen, a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash, a 5 MP selfie shooter, a 1.3 GHz octa-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, 4G, dual-SIM functionality, and it runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Zen UI on top. Its dimensions are 155 x 76.4 x 9 mm, and it weighs 176.7g. It looks like it has a metal frame. It will be offered in three color versions: blue, white, and gold.

Before Nasdaq was started almost 45 years ago, in February 1971, almost all companies went public on the over-the-counter market. If successful, they eventually graduated to the American Stock Exchange (now NYSE MKT) or the New York Stock Exchange. Since Nasdaq’s creation, about 85% of initial public offerings (IPOs) have gone public on Nasdaq, although this proportion has dropped in recent years. Most of the survivors among the Nasdaq IPOs have stayed rather than moving to the NYSE.
